Short leash fits the chewing situation for retractable leashes...
Perfect for my 16 ft. retractable leash. Protects the leash part that retracts, as my dog (Sheltie), sometimes gets "excited" & starts to chew on the leash in protest.

Works
Dependable product. Our dog could not chew this one. It is well made and still light and easy to carry as an add on to your leash.

Must have for a dog that chews.
We went through a number of leashes when he would chew near his end. These are VERY sturdy and he gets nowhere.

A must-have for aggressive chewers
I bought this two pack and the large tug retractable leash for my 37 lb mini golden doodle. The leash I bought came with one chew guard, but I find a second one is needed. I like using two because two leashes make a good size leash when the main leash is fully retracted. Also, my dog often (daily) bites the 2nd chew protector. She bites the leash whenever she wants to tell me she isnโt happy with how I am conducting our walk. I also like to tie a knot in the poop bag and hang the bag where the 2nd chew protector meets the leash. When my dog runs ahead, the poop bag goes along behind her. Very happy with the chew guards so far.

A must have for my favorite tug leash. Our dog likes to chew on leash and this save the day well worth the money to have on hand.

Great lead attachment for retractable leads
Good lead attachment, I use these as extra security as I also have a bungee shock absorber attached to the lead. My female husky likes to chew the bungee when she gets bored or impatient if we stop for break on a long walk! These provide me with the reassurance of a second attachment to the lead. I use these on a retractable lead, they are good quality lightweight and durable. Good value for money.

Pleasantly surprised!
I wasn't sure what to expect from this product. I just bought it to give a barrier between the very expensive dog lead, and the very bity teething puppy. And for that it works brilliantly. He's still on his first attachment, despite trying quite hard to chew it at first. His lead remains undamaged. He's clearly miffed that he can't chew it easily, because he's completely stopped trying! Would absolutely recommend this for puppy owners.

Genius
Could have saved two expensive leads with these extensions. Our puppy is getting a bit better about biting the lead but still does it when he gets excited about going for a walk. He can bite these instead leaving the lead intact. Wonderful idea.
