Victoria Hagan: Interior Portraits

I guess these decorating book reviews depends on the reader’s style preference. I like this look. This is her earlier book (2010) and i prefer it to her later book.

I absolutely adore Victoria Hagan. If you loved the movie house in Something's Gotta Give, credit Victoria's work that inspired so many of the details in the set design. Victoria is an absolute genius. I designed my current home keeping to her aesthetics and everyone that visits marvels at the clean, minimalist design. Buy this and enjoy the beautiful, cerebral work of this American icon.

Was looking for a white cover coffee table book and this one was spot on ! Goes pretty well with my decor.

I have always enjoyed seeing Victoria Hagan on the Oprah Show, and her line of furniture and merchandise at Target.Imagine my surprise when I discovered she was writing a book. The interiors are lovely - clean but inviting, chic but habitable, sophisticated but cozy. Love the large photographs, and the New York residences especially. I would have liked to see more modern interiors - the first half of the book focuses on more traditional interiors...OK, I hear you, don't get too greedy - at least there ARE some pages displaying modern interior designs!Well done, Vic!

It's one of the most exquisite interior design books I've ever seen. And the writing (by her sister Marianne Hagan) is beautiful and precise--the perfect mirror to Victoria's designs. Of course I'm biased because I'm Victoria's sister and wrote the text for the book. I witnesses first hand how much work went into it, but like everything else Victoria does, the final result looks effortless.

Ms. Hagan presents us with a book just full of pictures! She has top notch taste and her book will be amonst my favorite cocktail table books, though I'll be tucking this one safe in a basket by the fireplace...

ため息が出るほど美しい。実現するのは難しいですが、目の保養です。こんな部屋で暮らしたらストレスも無くなりそうです。

住まいは、生涯の良き趣味となり、自分の生き方の一部となるのだと感じました。衣食住のバランスを考えるとき、いつも【住】に何かが足りないと考えがちでしたが足りないのではなく捨てると加えるのセンス（選ぶセンス）が大切、とあらためて気付かされました。美しく暮らすにはインテリアの視点からの勉強の積み重ねが必要なのだと思います。好きなものを感じ、勉強をし、不要なものを捨て、清潔に保つことを心がけたいです。
