Q: What is the difference between the 1 and 2, besides the “kickstand”?

The big difference is the wallet. The Q Card Case (vol. 2) has a leather textured wallet while the Vault (vol. 1) holds the cards inside of it. Check out the short video in the "product photos" section on the Amazon listing to get a good idea of how they look and feel! Both of the cases have textured grip on the edges as well.
