Very satisfied. Love reading Pickles. It's a funny comic book

Was a gift for my spouses birthday and he ready enjoyed it.

Great collection of a (not so) new cartoon classic! I love Pickles, the quality of the character, stories, and drawings. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is for the disappointing minute size of the book, which shows the strips even smaller than in some newspapers. 😒

A simple strip, solid cartoon style and no matter what situation the old characters get into, there is always a good chuckle. The death of newspapers may mean the death of the comic strip and remember at one time comic strips SOLD PAPERS because of their popularity. As papers go are we missing out on new masters of the comic strip? Don't miss this one! If you have never read Pickles you are missing out. Pickles deserves to be seen by more people. One of the great strips of the last 10 years or so.This collection is a great way to see what it is all about. Three people picked up the volume from my desk, read a page or two and laughed each time. Can we hope for an archive addition, like Peanuts or Funky Wingerbean? This strip deserves that special treatment. Need a laugh, get yourself a Pickles collection!

Her life situations are so typical of everyday life for millions of Americans. Many times one can refer to their own life situations. Fun and entertaining. Used the book as a gift to share Pickles with someone whose newspaper doesn't carry cartoons.

I have been reading Pickles in the newspaper for years and thought it was a great gift for my husband. We thoroughly enjoyed the books. I would read one complete book all the way though in one sitting because it was so funny.I totally recommend these books.

I'm not a writer, I'm a reader so.... This is a fun light view of life's little occurrences seen from an older, settled couples view point. It was a delightful read.

Didn't know it was a smaller book then the others would have got the bigger one to match the others I have.

Bought this as a Christmas present for my grandparents... definitely going to read it first, though.

Love the book and the comic strip. Since we are about Opal and Earls age, it's like reading a reality show. Even the grand kids point out strips to us.

Quel sens de l'observation chez Brian Crane ! On retrouve dans cette bande dessinée tous les petits travers qui balisent notre vie quotidienne. On y retrouve aussi la tendresse qui unit les vieux couples, en dépit des défauts de chacun et cette stratégie qui consiste à laisser l'autre croire qu'il "mène la barque" alors qu'au fond ....Les animaux également, comme dans la vie réelle partagent les joies et les peines de leurs maitres et c'est remarquablement retranscrit. Voici une collection d'ouvrages à lire, mais aussi à détailler au niveau des dessins, car les expressions soulignent remarquablement le texte.
