Hard to find but full of great information if you find a copy.
Bought this as a gift because I already have a copy and couldn’t part with it. Written for kids but I recommend it for any beginning gardener.

Fabulous Book for Kid and Parent Cooks and Gardeners Alike!
This is a really great family book for fun and learning about food and gardening. Colorfully illustrated, this book shows fruits and veggies, how to grow them, and then fun recipes to make together.Grow It, Cook It isn't just for people with lots of yard space either. It shows growing out of pots too. And even if you don't grow your own food, its really education for kids regarding HOW their favorite foods grow. The recipes are a great addition to any family all on their own.My sister in-law had one and I promptly ran out and got one for our family after flipping through it. Such a great book!

I love this book!
This book is a wonderful resource for families interested in growing fresh food and finding a yummy way to prepare it. We love the beautiful pictures and the simple layout. The information about how each plant grows was very helpful for our small home garden, and was simple enough for our children to understand too. The recipes are awesome - I wanted to try each one as soon as I read it! They are wholesome, simple, and delicious. I think our favorite is the "carrot and orange muffins".Overall, I highly recommend this book for anyone looking to learn about gardening and cooking with children.

Beautiful Book
This is a gorgeous book. I purchased my first copy at a book store to give as a Christmas present. My 8 year old liked it so much, I bought a second copy for him from Amazon. Full color photographs on every page show you how to grow a specific vegetable and then give a recipe for using the veggie. I highly recommend this book not only for kids interested in growing and cooking, but also for adults. It was a great gift!

This is a well written book with lots of pictures and ideas and projects for children to get them started in the garden and them get them into the kitchen to cook what they grow. I bought this for my 2 nine year old granddaughters and my 6 1/2 year old grandson. It seemed like a great way to introduce them to gardening and to the farm to table concepts. With mom and dad's help these are doable projects.

This has inspired our granddaughters to help in the garden, and learn to cook what they grow. Even our little picky eater is sampling the vegetable recipes. It is a well-made book, and the pictures are very high quality too.

Really great instructional book!
I'm don't consider myself someone with a "green thumb" and this book has a ton of simple, inexpensive ways to garden at home, in containers (many recycled) or in ground a variety of produce that kids will enjoy tending then simple recipes that use those veggies and fruits and, hopefully, will encourage more variety and excitement at the table with fresh (can't get fresher) seasonal produce.

Bescheidene Gartentipps, fettige Gerichte
