N Is For Nepal Hardcover – August 10, 2011

I took several copies of this book to sherpa schools in Nepal; the teachers and children were enthralled with the colorful pictures and engaging information.

OK effort in getting kids to learn about Nepal. But only 2 stars because it is not worth almost $15 for me. And "O" is for outside? Really? If it was priced at something like $5, is give it another 2 stars.

N is for Nepal is an awesome book for Nepali kids living abroad. I loved it right away just from the title itself. What better way to teach our kids about our culture, country, flag, etc by simple alphabets? This book was given as a gift from a friend snd was signed by the author herself. I am a fan of this author and have bought all her other books over the years now.

If there is one book that retains kids' full interest while still providing a comprehensive, helicopter view into Nepal, this is it. I would especially recommend this book to (parents of) Nepali children born outside Nepal or parents trying teach their children about Nepal (although this can easily substitute books teaching English alphabets within Nepal as well). Just to put things in context, we are one of those extra excited first-time parents trying to make sure our US-born daughter understands our roots, so we are really happy to have found a book like this. Our daughter can't read much yet (we read it to her), but we are thinking that it might be a good idea to create a trivia based on this book once she starts reading.

I bought this book signed by an author for my kids. My kids loved it, I purchased more and used to gift my friend's kids on their birthdays. Kids will get knowledge about Nepal and they can talk to their friends.

N is for Nepal is a beautiful, well-designed book that is sure to excite and inform both children and adults. I love my copy, and am planning on purchasing many more for holiday gifts.

N Is For Nepal  N is for Nepal is an excellent picture book with text for the Nepali children to learn about Nepal and be proud of their cultural heritage and also for the non-Nepali children to learn about Nepal. Using alphabets to introduce the universally known Buddha, Hinduism, Himalaya, yak,and yeti, this book presents pertinent information about them in simple language. Text is a part of each picture - not isolated from the picture - which makes this book even more attractive for the children. Its colorful pictures and style are fascinating and description short and captivating. I immensely enjoyed this book and bought one for my granddaughter.Reviewed by Premu Ghimire
