It works fine
My air handler had been making a weird noise as the fan shut off for months and it finally died recently. It was a different brand (GE) but I ended up getting the specs off of the side and they matched up to this one almost exactly.Ended up ordering this and installed it into my unit. It kicked on and worked perfectly again. I've had it in for about a month now and haven't had any issues.Overall - it's cheap and got my air conditioner working again. I would recommend ordering a new run capacitor too. If you're replacing the motor the capacitor is a cheap part to start fresh with too, and my old motor took a different one anyways (old motor took 7.5 MFD - this one takes 5 MFD).

I used it to learn about fire, lol
It was a great motor. Quiet and perfect fit. But I hooked it up wrong because I didn't look at the picture I took. I just can't afford $500 dollars for a tech. It lasted ten seconds then it caught fire a little and some smoke! It took me four hours to take the blower out and clean it up and all. But I burnt it up. Also I had to tell my wife what I did, she hugged me to my surprise. Anyway I bought another one and it works fine.

Good product
Just make sure you know the correct rotation of the motor you are replacing. You may need someone with better electrical know-how help you. I replaced an old GE motor, of which this is the direct replacement). Apparently, GE's rotation is based off of looking at the shaft, whereas most new motors are looking from the back (or something like that). Just make sure you know which direction your old motor turns!
