Aaron G. Green: Organic Architecture Beyond Frank Lloyd Wright

Immense Organic Architecture resource
I was blown away by the volume of this monograph. Every single page contains large, crisp and detailed drawings, ranging from conceptual sketches to mill-work sheets. While the principle purpose of the book is to document the life of Mr. Green, it serves as an unmatched examination of practical architecture in the organic style on a variety of residential, commercial, civic and institutional works. The thoughtful arrangement and sequencing of the diagrams and photos make the progression of Green's designs immediately transparent; more than a collection of cool renderings, the book makes sense of the design philosophy and slowly reveals more as you read through it. As a Architect working in the real world, I completely endorse this book as an invaluable tome for any student or professional with an interest in practical organic architecture.

Amazing! Very Satisfied with this Monograph.
Great monograph on one of my favorite architects! Large format and in full colour. My only issue was that the plans and drawings were printed across two pages which interrupts the effect and continuity of the plans. I would suggest that other editions have the plans printed large on fold out pages where possible to keep the continuity of the drawings presented. Good value for money. Would recommend to anyone who is interested in this amazing student of the Master Frank Lloyd Wright. Organic Modernism at its best.

An Uncompromising and Definitive look at the career of an outstanding architect
This book on the work of Frank Lloyd Wright apprentice (and later collaborator) Aaron Green explores the work of his career in a definitive fashion. How? Through text which tells the story of each commission, presentation drawings, perspectives, excellent vintage and contemporary photography, a time-line of his career, a complete list of his commissions, an index and even some of his working drawings. This book is an outstanding model for how such books should be done!

"Aaron G. Green: Organic Architecture Beyond Frank Lloyd Wright" Review
This book is just okay. I'm somewhat disappointed in the quality of the photos, particularly the floorplans. There is no arrow showing north nor a scale showing feet on the plans. Also, some plans span 2 pages, meaning you can't see the center of the plan at the binding. There are no photos that I have not seen and many I've seen that are not here. I know there are other color photos of the Reif house available.

This is a terrific exposition of Mr
This is a terrific exposition of Mr. Green's life work. Aaron Green was a true inheritor of Frank Lloyd Wright, but gifted with his own unique vision. This book is now at the top of my cocktail table stack.
