Toddler must have
There's that point when the quadruped toddler advances into bipedalism. Enter the YBIKE. After raising kids and g-kids, variations on the YBIKE were essential to the transition. The little biped here has been walking for 3 weeks. Tile floor speed and coasting is a new experience.I was iffy on the YBIKE. The reviews are a mixed bag … is it chintzy? deadly or worse? So, I looked around at the marts and ran the scenarios, price, and construction and decided the YBIKE was worth the try. It's like the kidz most important personal possession just after the blanket in 2 days. Toddler's day #1 (picture) was familiarization and fascination. Day #2 … it was get to the tric, first and fast. The tric is nicely packaged for gifting, better constructed than expected, and a huge hit. 5-stars.

My granddaughters favorite toy
This is my granddaughter’s favorite toy. She got it when she was 2 and continues to enjoy it- but now as a speed demon. It’s safe and easy to use.

it's not that great
A skuttlebug is a much better first set of wheels. The back tires on this balance bike don't turn that well. It also isn't held together very well. I just don't think it's sturdy, I don't think the wheels turn well, and my daughter really doesn't like it. We have a scuttlebug too and she'll pick it every time.It is kinda cool that the wheels can turn around for two level's of learning, but I don't see that a kid this small will ever be ready for the harder version. It's just not where coordination is for a child this small. So the only real pro isn't much of a pro.So we really don't like it and suggest you look at other options!

Not Worth The Price, and Defective Part
We received this product today and started putting it together right away because we were so excited for our daughter to play with it. One of the pieces didn’t have threads inside for the screw, so we struggled while my husband basically made his own threads in the part. Frustrating to buy something at this price and receive something defective. It’s also very plain (we knew that when we purchased) it would be cute with some kind of design on it.

Balance bike (no pedals)
I have had other YBIKES for my grandchildren and they have held up well - through more than one. This one is designed for flat surfaces. IT should not be used for going downhill. It is not a walker. I love that the instructions and the box very clearly state that ADULT assembly is needed. Since this is recommended for 1 - 3 years, do they really think that someone in this age group should be able to assemble ANYTHING, including this? There are 2 balance settings (turn the wheels around). It is made in China.

This is not worth the money
Wow, this is not worth the money, find another ride on bike for your child. The rear wheels are in fact adjustable to be easy and more balanced or to be a bit more difficult where your child really has to balance. The front wheel hardly turns and is very stiff. the steering wheel bar is basically worthless, again because of how stiff it it is. The back wheels also rub on the actual bike part.I cannot recommend this.
