Really excited when I recieved them!
Honesty, I can't say either they work or not. After a break of 12+ years and with inconsistent swings, my neighbor invited me out for a round of golf at our local par3 course. I dreaded to play since back then I had a terrible slice correcting it with a hook. A bad one as well! I didn't have a set of clubs and used my neighbors extra set he had. Bought a 12 pack of recycled 2 piece Callaways from the pro shop, teed up and off it went slicing right losing sight of it. Took a mulligan and hooked landing about 10 yards from the middle of the fairway. I'll take it! That round I lost 6 balls due to either a slice, hook or water hazard. Began going out more often with my neighbor that I ended up buying a set of used clubs. Taylormade RAC OS... Must've been the clubs since I fairly kept my shots playable in the fairway majority of the times playing with the leftover Callaways I had and losing 3 balls. But I still hooked or sliced. Just not as bad as 12 years ago. I wanted to improve my game just a tad more so I started looking around on the internet to help me. Read about the Wilson Ultra 500 Straight and the Polara bought a pack of both to try them out on our next round. After receiving them both I couldn't wait for my neighbor I HAD to go give them a try and played a solo game. First tee was the Wilson. Excellent feel from the face, ball flight, good trajectory and right down the middle of the fairway landing approximately 95 yards with a PW. Teed up the Polara aiming at the pin with arrows as stated on the sleeve and same height as the Wilson. Polara had excellent feel off the face. Trajectory was fairly low and had somewhat of a slice. Ball came to a stop approximately 85 yard and about 10 yards to the right of the middle of the fairway. Like I mentioned I have an inconsistent swing. So it's possible that my swing caused it. Wilson did great on the green. Good stopping power set up for my 3rd shot. With the Polara you can either play it as it lays or touch the ball and aim using the arrows. I played as it laid. I know the arrow marked on the ball wasn't aimed to the pin as you can see from the dimple arrangement. Polara also had good stopping power. Used a LW for both. Second hole... PAR 4... 233 yards... Wilson was first up. Teed up as normal with the middle of the ball to the crown of my driver. R580 10.5 degrees. Again, excellent feel... good trajectory and right down the middle of the fairway at 205 yards. I'm liking the Wilsons and my game is slamming so far! Next up is Polara... Teed high as its states... I'd say 1/4 of the bottom of the ball with the crown of my driver. Here goes nothing... Great feel... Again, low trajectory and little of a slice at 180 yards. Must've been my swing... No one was tailing me so I teed up another Polara same way. Aiming at the pin and height. What the 😳!!! Same results. I couldn't believe it so I teed up another... This flew somewhat straighter and trajectory was fairly higher. Came to a stop approximately 195 yards and 5 yards to the right of the middle of the fairway. So to make a long review short, they really don't do much for me. At the end of the round I had an equal results on both. At times the Wilsons would slice but still close to the middle of the fairway. Trajectory and distance was excellent at every hit, and good stopping power on the green. The Polara also was the same. So to be frank I can't give an honest review since they both performed quit the same with me although i did lose 2 Polars going into the water. I didn't lose any of the Wilsons. Gave 5 stars because they are still excellent. Don't expect these to fly perfectly straight and go where you want them to go. My game has definitely improved and I can FINALLY enjoy around or 2!

How to get people back into Golf!!! Use these balls and feel like a Pro on the Tee Box
I played 14 holes (twilight all you can golf rate) with this ball just a couple of days ago and I shot a 41 on a par 35. For me my normal score for that side would have been around 50. I was literally laughing out loud at every tee box after I hit another fairway. Of my 14 tee shots, only 1 missed the fairway and it was in the first cut of rough by 8 inches!!! And in reality I had lined up incorrectly so I blame myself. On the 2 par 3s I was on the green each time and made the par which is unheard of for me. I had 5 pars which I have not done in years and this was my best score for that course on the back side.I have a huge case of the yips on the tee box because of my 40 degree slice so I try to think of all of the things I am supposed to do and end up hating golf. I was going to quit playing after this year because it just ended up being no fun anymore. I started just using a 5 iron off the tee just to keep the ball in play. Now, because of this ball, I am going to play again on Sunday (2 days from now) and I have signed up for a Myrtle Beach golf trip with 15 other buddies who are all dying to try these balls.I had 2 of the best drives on holes number 12 and 15. When I played the "extra" holes, there is a par 5 that I almost reached in 2 shots which I have never ever done. I am not a long hitter at all but I did have an interesting comparison. I hit my Polara 3 piece in the middle of the fairway and then took out a Pro V1, same swing, and sliced it my usual 40 degrees. The Titleist wound up in the rough and behind the Polara by 25 yards. I never had an issue with distance one time with the driver. The thing you never think about is your second shot. I used to live in fear of hitting a 3 wood or a 5 wood because I would aim out of bounds on the left side knowing I would hook the ball. This works ok for links style courses but on tight courses I always have to hit 6 iron which means I still have another full iron into the green. Now I can take out a 3 wood and have no fear. I also never adjusted the ball on the fairway or the rough. I figured it would sort itself out in the air. And it always did. With all that being said, I did notice some interesting shot trajectories with my irons, mostly the 8 iron. I was not striking the ball well with my irons but they had a very top spin like trajectory. However, I never had a problem with distance and they all went straight so I am taking some much better golfers with me on Sunday and seeing if they experience the same thing.I also found that I like the feel and sound of these balls when putting. I know it seems strange but I was putting very well and the the bounce off of the clubface was just perfect. I can't explain it.So after having said all of that, I am just a recreational golfer and never really cared about golf or playing anywhere nice because of my horrible game. Now I am buying a new driver, setting up golf trips, and saving for a new set of irons all because of a golf ball. Golf Digest talks about geting people back into the game and for me this is it. Make the game fun and allow us to feel like a pro sometimes. I stand at the tee box, swing as hard as I can, and then get 3 legitimate chances at birdie in 9 holes. I am going from playing 5 times a year to playing at least once a week and going to pour around $1,000 into new clubs and driver. How can this not be good for the game? I never play tournaments so that is no issue and when I play with friends instead of them spotting me 5 to 6 strokes we will play even as I have told them all I play these balls.

Great for beginner golfers!
I took up golf lessons than a year ago and I’m still working on correcting a bad slice tendency. The course I play on has several holes that are narrow and lined with houses on both sides. A very anxiety inducing task to say the least. After putting a few regular balls into backyards and the street on the other side, I decided to try these so I wouldn’t give anyone an unwanted gift or damage anything. I must say, these do work as advertised! My shot goes right where I line up the arrows and I’m hitting fairways and greens! Before it was houses, trees, lakes and everything OB. It’s really helped my confidence! Are they impossible to hit poorly? No. I hit a terrible shot off the edge of the toe on my driver and sent it at a 45 degree angle into the bushes. But, if you hit it reasonably well, they do fly straight! I plan on using these balls until I straighten out my slice issues then go to a legal ball. I play with friends and family so I’m not cheating anyone. They know the ball I’m playing with, and I only use it on the narrow holes with homes. I’m really happy with this ball in situations where houses are close and no longer worry about having to go apologize for my lack of skill if my ball takes out a window or something on an unsuspecting homeowner’s property.
