Another McCourt book
This is a double book which I liked so much I had Amazon send one to my sister in Va. because I gave mine to a friend after reading it from cover to cover. Please see my other reviews for the wonderful McCourt books because Frank's brothers also wrote books. Coming out of Ireland's poorest of the poor, desperate hunger, cold, damp, fleas, bedbugs, misery, death of siblings & more is what they talk about in these books. Of 7 children only 4 reached adulthood due to sicknesses that were curable but for lack of money. Those 4 made it thru the desperation to move to New York & make something of themselves. These are "I can't stop reading" books.
