Actually works on 1440p
Bought this for the Raspberry Pi 4, and I didn't realize the 1080p description. I tested on my 1440p 60Hz monitor, and it worked as expected, and it wasn't until I came back to the item to write the review that I realized that this was described as a 1080p adapter. Price is good, you get 2 of them, although if you are using both of them on the Pi at the same time, they are a bit too wide to be fitted side-by-side.

no through ground
I connected this to a BeagleBone Black SBC. I didn't have any picture at all. I started researching and found some cheap HDMI cables don't have a ground connection. The outer shield of the connector. Turns out the adapter does NOT have a ground connection either. I soldered a small wire from one end to the other...Worked fine.If the display and the device that this adaptor share a ground it will work fine, like a USB cable also being used.

*UPDATE*They both recently just went out and it hasn't been very long. I haven't decided if it's the port on my computer or the adapter, but that's what happened lol.Definitely recommend! I had previously bought an adapter like this and the port was on the top (so the hdmi cord was sticking straight up). That adapter almost messed up my computer. These are made perfectly so there isn't any strain on the port to the computer. Such a great buy! Plus, I have an extra if I lose one

It works, but it is weak in design strength - Broke on first use
Unfortunately the item is quite delicate. The first time I used it it fit and worked, however it is not strong enough to handle normal use and unless you are very careful every time you are around this the item can get pulled at an angle - and it isn't strong enough to handle that. Always remember if you use it to treat it very gingerly..

Had it for a day and its already bending under the weight of the HDMI cable its attached to
So I have this connected to my sony a5100 and the camera attached to a tripod. this is slightly weighing down the adapter, but I think after some weeks or months of this its going to bend out of its usefulness. I'm not happy with this and I think I'm going to go for a refund.

Not strong enough for professional use
These are good for being in a pinch or for cheaps but they’re very delicate and I’ve broken one, and the next one is starting to do the same. The micro hdmi port will wiggle and the picture will flicker or not show up at all. I extremely careful with cable management; these are just very weak. I would go the next level of quality up when I buy again.

Complete Crap do not buy.
I bought 2 packs of these. 3 of 4 broke on the first use and that was after I had to replace the first two. Horrible, cheap. Breaks with the slightest pressure. Don't waste your time.

Works great
Unfortunately every part was encased in excess plastic bags which take time for the customer to remove and are too light to be reusable. Aside from the wasteful packaging, these are great!
