Amazon beats up books
The story quality is still good into volume 8 though this volume was the most beaten up with some spine damage and the bookmark tassel has been completely ripped off. I dont know if i'll order the next volume off of amazon if this is how my books will come

TMNT at their finest.
TMNT is still something getting even better, building off the greatness in it's DNA and adapting for the modern world. Perfect for longtime fans and old-schoolers alike

Rocksteady and Bebop are the greatest henchmen
This volume has the Rocksteady and Bebop miniseries. If you haven't read it yet, it's enough to make you want to read the entirety of the series.

Just stunning
I am in LOVE with these comics, and this bound IDW collection is a beautiful way of receiving them all. I'm afraid to open them (I don't want to wreck their pristine state), but I heartily look forward to reading these multiple times in my life.

The shark has been jumped
When a series becomes stale and is ready to end, there are several signs. It is with sadness, as a great TMNT fan, that I must note those signs are present here. Bereaved, I diagnose of the IDW series that it needs to end very soon, if it is to end with dignity and to be remembered as being - throughout - a quality comic series run, and one that rivals Mirage V1.Not to give specific spoilers, I will say that when a great series reaches old age, you will find the following almost every time:- Villains are humanized to the point of showing goodness- The rogues gallery becomes so empty that time travel or magic is needed to regurgitate the next foe.- Characters are developed to the point where there's no more tarmac to run, where all that's left is the cliff of character assasination, having them do things they wouldn't in order to be interesting.- Golden-age characters transition from occasional easter-egg references to full-blown "special guest" appearances. There is a reason why the original Mirage turtles appeared in the 2003 series in the last screening of 2009, which was to bury that series with deserved honour as a quality chapter of TMNT history. Now those same reapers look on at this series, in its growing mediocrity and haphazard resurrection of Savanti Romero, where I would call on the authors to finish their Rat King / Kitsune arch as best they can before finally using Musashi and Kamizumii for their final, ultimate purpose; Let this series die with honour as it deserves, though it would break my heart to put it down.In review of this volume in its own right, aside from its place in the bigger picture, there aren't many real gems here. The only issues I'd really call notable would be #66 and Universe #6 for their originality, but there are no bars being raised here by any stretch, and if you've loved the series so far you'll probably be disappointed here.

Good, just not great.
This is the second stumble in the series IMHO - like the first one, it's the time travel issues I have, well, issues with. A sizable chunk of this volume is "Beebop and Rocksteady Destroy Everything", and that's the weak point. Time travel is messy, tiresome, and just unoriginal. But even this slice of the book isn't all bad, just mostly irrelevant. It does however lead to a new team member (not spoilering who) and for that alone I can almost forgive it.Rest of the book, perfectly on-par with the rest of the series. And the complaint above isn't even bad enough for me to dock a star. Half of one, maybe, but Amazon doesn't do half-stars.

Decepcionado
