Good C vitamin, nice company.
The supplements arrived as described, and everything looked fine in the bottle—there were no strange smells, tastes, or anything suspicious.I hadn't tried any supplements from Davinci before, so I did a quick search to find their website. To me, everything seems legit so far. I even read a bunch of reviews that appeared unbiased. They are based in the USA, manufactured in a GMP-certified facility, and third-party tested, along with several other labels I always appreciate when i see them in any of my supplements. Their website also states:"Others in the industry make products with bare minimums and extra fillers you don’t need. We’re one of the few companies to offer truth in our labeling. This means we insist on using therapeutic levels of ingredients and potent formulas that are never watered down."Don't want to sound gullible but this convinced me to give it a try. I mainly ordered it for the vitamin C, not so much for the other minerals, although I appreciate those as well. According to recent dictionary editions, ascorbic acid is synonymous with vitamin C. However, in my opinion, the ascorbic acid found in most supplements is not truly comparable to the vitamin C found in nature. Ascorbic acid, which is synthetic vitamin C, is derived from glucose and other chemicals. Personally, I would only use ascorbic acid for a short term, not for long-term use. That is precisely my plan with these supplements; they will suffice for now, and once I finish them, I’ll switch to consuming lemons since the best source of vitamin C is through food or food-based vitamins in the meantime these will do, they're a nice size and easy to swallow. Here is some additional information on common symptoms of vitamin C deficiency:- Bleeding gums- Fatigue- Collagen loss- Lowered immune function- Increased risk of biofilmsAnd remember:1. There is little to no benefit from taking high doses of ascorbic acid.2. Most vitamin C supplements are synthetic and derived from sugar.3. Vitamin C is not well absorbed if sugar is consumed simultaneously.4. High doses of ascorbic acid may cause oxidation, diarrhea, and bloating.BUT!DONT TAKE MY WORD FOR IT, DO THE RESEARCH!

Vitamin C
It's really hard to review a supplement because you have to take it for 3-6 months consistently to know if it has helped anything. It came well packaged and sealed properly. The smell is strong but not in a bad way. I don't know much about this specific brand so I can't say much on their ethics. Upon researching their website they seem to be a wholesale company who will put your business name on the label. It says they are sourced from the US and globally. Pretty vague.

Domestically manufactured, supplied with evidence of purity and potency
Once you know what supplements you want/need and the required dosage, the next most important decision is which supplement suppliers provide products with VERIFIABLE potency and purity.Consumers are on their own on this since the FDA doesn’t regulate supplements. After dozens of well-publicized cases where supplements have lacked the correct ingredients and/or were contaminated and damaged a user’s health, it is no longer adequate to just try to choose a respected brand and then hope for the best. The best supplement suppliers recognize these challenges and perform third party potency and purity testing on their products. In increasing numbers, they’re also sharing test results with their customers.I’m sincerely impressed by how DaVinci Labs provides evidence of their product quality and safety. They manufacture in the U.S. which isn’t a guarantee of higher quality, but U.S. manufacturing standards are generally higher than those in India or China. Risk of contamination is less and likelihood of the correct potency is higher. But most importantly DaVinci also shares its third party testing Certificates of Analysis (COAS) with customers.Just call them, let them know the manufacturing batch number on the bottle you purchased, and they’ll send you the COA for the manufacturing batch that includes your bottle. Easy, completely transparent, and exactly what every credible supplement manufacturer should do. They sent COAs to me less than 2 hours after we spoke. The COA for their Poten-C 500 is easy to read and demonstrates that this product meets or exceeds its published formula.I would include the COA here, but DaVinci watermarks the file as confidential. So if you’d like to see it in advance of taking their Poten-C 500 supplement—and you should review the COA—you’ll need to reach out to them. All in all, DaVinci is doing a great job of not only providing high quality and safe supplements but also providing tangible evidence that their supplements are what they claim.Deservedly a five star company and a five star supplement.

Vitamin C and mineral complex from a trusted manufacturer
Besides 500mg of vitamin C (556% of the daily value), the supplement also contains the minerals calcium, magnesium, manganese and potassium (all in small amounts). It's also enhanced by pectin and mixed citrus bioflavonoids (which I guess are always around when you get vitamin C through fruits). Thus, both, the minerals and bioflavonoids help the body to absorb the vitamin C efficiently. Even though the label states that you can take 1-3 capsules, I think that 1 capsule is more than enough. The size of the capsule is okay and they are rather easy to swallow. Overall, I think this is an high quality supplement that comes at a great price. I generally use a lot of supplements of the DAVINCI Labs brand since the provide 3rd party testing certificates upon request and the supplements are usually very effective. I didn't feel any adverse side effects (like nausea) so I'm pretty happy with it so far. I take it together with my iron supplement which needs vitamin C for absorption. I usually take it in the morning or afternoon with sufficient time before going to sleep so it doesn't impact my sleep quality.
