i think they came in the original box, it wasn't necessarily a "gift" box, but a white box you would get if you bought it at the store.

Q: I fill my mugs with spit slowly. Would this one be good for collecting my drool when I sleep?

As good as any other one, I guess. I would think it would be uncomfortable to have the edge of a mug under your face all night.

Q: Does this mug say BFF on one side and on the back - "We'll be friends until we are old & senile...?

Yes, it says that..I gave it as a gift and pretty sure it says We'll be friends until we are old & senile and then be will be best friends all over again!

Q: Does it have the signature flair on the top of the mug? Looking to replace my current one that has a small chip.

I am unsure of the flair only because I gave this as a gift. If you previously bought it, I would assume they still make it the same
