Good but with some quirks!
Firstly, don't buy this fan if the hanger rod is hidden inside the ceiling(photo attached). It was a nightmare installing this fan, but I somehow managed, by using the hook/shackle of my earlier fan! But then I began facing another problem. The hook of this fan is unique with a screw that prevents it from moving. Now, without that original hook the fan moves wildly whenever a gust of strong wind comes in from outside. Then the fan starts emitting metallic screeching/squeaking noise which is very annoying. I am thinking about rehabilitating the fan to another area of my house. The one feature about this fan, that I want to highlight, is that it's blades are narrower compared to a conventional fan(say Havells fusion which I have, photo attached). The size disappointed me when I took the blades out from the box, still I was hoping that the air delivery will be ok, by some miracle. Now, if the blade of a conventional fan is reduced to, say 2 inches, then a less powerful motor, consuming less electricity, will possibly be able to run it at 500 RPM, but the air delivery will be almost non existent.I am not claiming that that all the power saving of this fan is for that reason only. Most of the power saving is, of course, due to the BLDC motor, but, my understanding is that, some amount of power saving is contributed by the size of the blade, because, maybe, the fan would require a more powerful motor if the size the blades were bigger. (This is my speculation and I may be wrong)So, as expected, at the same speed-5(I don't have the means to measure the RPMs but it appears to me that both the fans are running at same speed at regulator/remote speed 5), the air flow under the conventional fan is higher compared to this fan. Perhaps speed has a placebo effect, so it is difficult to notice the difference if one observes the fan in isolation, but the two fans are installed almost side by side in my home and I have felt the difference subjectively. Under the Havells, I get overwhelmed by the air flow, and it feels the air pressure from the fan is pushing against me, while under this fan, although the air flow is adequate for me, it is not excellent. There is a "boost" mode to address this issue. The problem is, under boost mode, the fan runs at such a great speed that the sound of its blades cuttting through the air will totally disturb the peace tranquility of your room. Also the power requirement will bump up to 35 watts! I think, those manufacturers who rate their fans at 32 or 35 watts, without adding a hidden boost mode of higher rating, are more straightforward and honest. There is the "studio" model from the same manufacturer, which has wider blades but runs at lesser speed while having a higher rated air delivery. I think, it might be acceptable for me but that product has its own set of issues(as per the reviews posted), and after this experience, I will think many times before placing another order.A few other points:• The remote is not flimsy and is ergonomic, but sometimes the remote buttons don't register a press unless pressed hard.• The blades are quite strong. The screws are of good quality.• Although it is not getting too hot like a conventional fan, it is not running at room temperature either. The temperature, after running for sometime, is mildly hot.• No humming noise at any speed• There is no need to restart the fan using remote after a power failure.

Power saving
Very less power consumption. Savings on power bills.

Good Energy Efficient Fan - Works at low voltage also
FAN is good. Clear instructions for fixing DIY. The plastic parts of the remote control could have been better. Also, adding fluorescent colors on the remote would be helpful for locating in the dark.

Good - but could have been much better!
I was deciding on using BLDC fan since last few months and finally purchased this one to give it a try.Good things first.1. Works as expected, enough air flow for single bed room, just like my old "normal" fan.2. Supposedly consumes 1/3rd of electricity as against my older fan.3. Looks good from distance.4. Saves regulator if you are wiring freshly. I had step regulator so just kept it on max and connected this fan rather than rewiring.5. Remote control makes it easy to control fan from bed.6. It actually retains state in case of power failure. If it was on when there was power cut, it automatically starts on same speed when power resumes.7. Covers 3 years of warranty - longer than most fans. Now bad/could have been better things1. Finishing could have been much much better.2. Would love more documentation of remote functions. Still trying to find how boost mode works, and how is it different than just pressing 5 for max speed.3. There is annoying tic-tic sound every now and then, which becomes noticeable at slow fan speeds, and very quite surroundings. Could be fault with my unit, but another reviewer had also mentioned same. I will have this checked with support.4. At high speeds, it makes marginally more sound than my earlier fan - could be related to blade angle. This is purely subjective - couldn't make any scientific measures.5. When you power on wall switch, fan remains off. I would have loved it to start with on mode by default. This would become handy when you run out of batteries in your remote on hot night without any replacements. Also when remote breaks down, and replacement remote is online order away.6. My unit wobbles a little bit at even at slow speeds, more on high speeds - even with all nuts and bolts tightened with spanner. This doesn't affect functionality in any way, but not used to this with older fan.7. Support turnaround time would be problem. Since BLDC is new technology for fans, your local electrician won't be able to help. Availability of replacement components would be problem, at least in remote areas. And official support channels might not be easy to access when you are outside metros.

Good looking fans. Value for money.
Ordered 2 fans after some search. Delivered before time with good packaging. Look is good. Golden yellow color is adding elegance to it. Cups are looking premium. Good quality hanging bar and fittings. Remote is light wt. and looks good with option for timer, sleep and boost. Remote sensor is working from anywhere in the room not necessarily below it, response is indicated by a red light blink. Cotinuous red light indicates Standby. Speed of fan is good. A good amount of air delivery even at speed 2 for just 12watt. Air delivery to the surrounding is also good. Regulator not required so disconnected (A must). Fan probably remembers the last set speed.Registed both fans online and received confirmation SMS and mail. Have not asked for any home service yet. Hope they will run for the entire warranty period without any problem. A good value for money. Overall satisfactory.Review after availing service.Heard some noise from one of the fan. Registered service request with [email protected] on 2nd October (Holiday). Received callback next day morning. Technician visited same day and corrected the fault. The fault was due to faulty hanging not due to fan itself, but one experienced technicians can only find the difference. Anyway a great service. One more star.
