Great company and quality ingredients
This food is excellent. Most of my cats ate it readily at first but I will say, it's quite chunky, and some of them were too intimidated by the texture. It's great for cats that don't mind to get a little messy and really get after a big piece of meat! The ones that didn't like it prefer mousse/lickable food and this stuff is more like a very hearty chicken soup. There are big pieces of shredded chicken in this with a chicken and pumpkin broth. It smells like human food. For what it is, I think it's a great value for your money. Since a few of mine didn't like the big pieces of chicken and only licked the broth, I ordered this same recipe but in the 'slide n serve' pate texture for them to try as well. It was a bit too slick for most of them and slid around the bowl/plate too much and they lost interest, so on to the regular canned pate to try! I love this brand and the variety of flavors and textures they offer cause lord knows these cats are picky as heck.

Lots of gravy!
My cat has a is a finicky eater. I have spent a fortune on different canned foods and I end up throwing so much of it away because it isn't cheap as we all know. Though she does love Fancy Feast, there simply isn't enough gravy for her tastes. She likes to eat those 3 oz portions right from the can because the gravy accumulates at the top. Then she will slurp the gravy off the top but won't touch the meat. I throw out about 3 cans a day minus the gravy. Weruva really understood the assignment because I have tried every brand that advertises heaping portions of gravy and this is the first brand that met the challenge. These are the pouches. I bought both pouches and 3 oz cans. The pouches have very heavier thick gravy like a bisque. The 3 oz cans have lots of gravy too but it is more of a broth or a juice. She loves both. She is also now more interested in the actual food itself. The pouches offer a large portion and I was surprised to suddenly hear her gulping her food. The pouches could feed two cats. I have spent a fortune on different foods for my one cat before I found this brand. There are many flavors. I was a bit concerned because they have an exotic assortment and I didn't know if she would like the duck and lamb but all varieties have been a hit.

Impressed so far - mostly pros - some cons
I first looked at this food because I saw it suggested on the Cole and Marmalade page. I liked the idea of human grade food. I have 10 cats. One is on a prescription diet, and 3 won't eat wet food, so I have been trying different flavors of this with the rest. They had been eating a combination of some dry meals (Royal Canin indoor) and some Tiny tasters. I had some trouble getting the tiny tasters -- and was looking for an alternative or back up. I feed 3 times a day because the smaller meals seem to help reduce throw up. So far the only flavor none of the cats like is the duck. I was surprised that several liked the ones with pumpkin. I was also surprised by the.... whole food appearance of this food. It seriously looks like normal shredded chicken breast. I also saw some chunks of fish that were clearly identifiable as fish. Coming from other brands that are more like a mystery paste - or a mystery paste with chunks - I was impressed. The gravy is a huge hit with my cats - and makes it easy to add the liquid joint supplement for my seniors. I haven't fed it long enough to see changes in health for better or worse. I like the the convenient storing, less packaging trash, and feeding of pouches - but because this food is a very loose gravy and then chunks of meat - it's fairly easy to spill gravy when opening. You could use scissors. Some bits of meat stick inside the pouch. If you wanted to get more, you could use a spoon to scrape it out. The pouches would be nearly impossible to divide. For example, they say to feed 1 oz for every pound of body weight - divided into two feedings. I have a 10 pound cat. If you just empty the pouches, it would be very hard to divvy up the gravy and chunks accurately. It could be their suggestions aren't accurate. I haven't (and might not) switch over to it being the sole food so I will update if I change anything.

My cat likes it
“My super picky cat actually likes this food! I really appreciate that it’s made with quality ingredients, so I don’t have to choose between ‘super tasty but unhealthy’ options. Yes, it’s a bit pricey, but worth it since it’s something my cat enjoys and I feel good about feeding. I’ve tried about 10 different ‘good quality’ foods from the pet store—he rejected most of them. He wouldn’t even touch two varieties of Weruva, and with other brands he’d eat once and then refuse. This is the only one he consistently likes!”

Awful Packaging
Annoying packaging. It's impossible to open and serve without making a mess. The food is the wrong consistency to easily squeeze out of a pouch. Every single time I open one of these I find my hands covered in the juice and I'm never at all confident that I got all of the solid material out. The actual product is fine. My cats love it. I'm going back to canned tho.

Cats beg for this food!
My cats love this stuff! When I get it out they are in the kitchen whining and begging! I have one cat that is now without six teeth, so I mix this with the kibble to moistion her food and she eats more that way. I particularly buy this food for the pumpkin and for the extra "gravy" that is has.

Delicious and nutritious
My cat absolutely loves this! She laps up all of the broth and then devours the chicken. She has a sensitive stomach, so I have been looking for a wet food that won't hurt her stomach and she'll like. This does both. There have been no digestive issues since starting it. I did start it slow and mixed it with the wet food she was already eating for a slow transition. I'm very pleased and so is she!

My finicky cat has been very fussy on her wetfood & only eats those with tuna in them. However, she loves every single flavour from this range even though some are without tuna. Surprisingly, her fave is chicken & duck.
