Good bilge cover for our Moomba
This cover was a perfect fit for our 2001 Moomba boat. It was hard to find a 5" cover since most are 4, 6 or 8". The screw holes even lined up perfectly. The threads are deep, so it has a good grip. It comes with a plastic tie that connects to a center point of the underside of the cover. Unfortunately it doesn't include the screw, which is weird. It's not terribly necessary. I really doubt it will come unscrewed and fly off. I would definitely buy this brand again. It was much better than the factory one.

Easy to install, looks great!
After receiving the deck plate, I used the ring to make a jig out of plywood that was laying around my shop. I used a pattern cutting bit on a router to cut the hole in the plastic where I needed access. I had to re-arrange some of the flotation foam, but the deck plate ring fit right in. I was then able to drill out the screw holes, install some clip nuts, then screw the plate ring right to the plastic. After replacing the flotation foam that I had to remove, the screw-in plate screwed right in, and I was done. I've bought and installed two of these, and if I ever need another one, I will be back to buy it here.

RV'ers should install these atop tank for easy access inside tank
Use these on the plastic rectangular fresh water and waste tanks on my RV. I mounted / installed them on the upper top side to access the inside of the tanks for cleaning or inspection. Also, use these in the ceiling to access wires and things. Sturdy and easy installation! However, you will need to provide your own gasket and screws as these will depend on your installation application.

That Sinking Feeling - When you just have no choice but to put a hole in your boat . . .
I needed access to my navigation light wiring when I moved the light from where the bow chock is and I now have water tight permanent access. This access cover was nicely priced, threads on easily and has a positive seal when cinched tight, we'll see if it yellows over time.

Other than that the fit and look is nice.
The plastic will give a little bit, so if this is installed on the floor of your boat it WILL bend in slightly if stepped on, so be careful not to put any pressure on it. Other than that the fit and look is nice.

Marine and beyond Stop leaks, water proof!!
Used on our new mast boot to seal leaks down below the photo has blue tape to hold while curing, have already had it applied under the clamp for a few days and no leaks after rain. Under the blue tape is just securing the boot. It will stick to fiberglass and gelcote, put on the outer ring of a deck cap, awesome stuff!

Not bad for the price
Not bad for the price. There seems to be less thread depth than the previous deck plates in my boat. Slightly disappointed with the strength of them if you step on them as they bow in.

It Fits!
Just right for what i needed. Got lucky and the screw in cap matched existing deck fitting. Who cares if it’s a white cap in a black plate! Arrived very quickly, too.

Great, Sturdy Product.
A pretty decent hatch cover. It is made of harder plastic, so there is very little flex, and if the surface you are mounting it to is not 100% true it can be a little difficult to unscrew the hatch cover.I used these as a direct replacement for some old, weatherworn deck plates. They mounted easily in the existing cut out, screw holes matched up perfectly so no additional drilling was needed. All in all these are a great quality product. They seem nice and sturdy, but I am sure only time will tell how well they stand up to the weather here in Canada.
