Theses are amazing from cameras to lights they will hold almost anything you need them for. I have used them for all of my equipment including heavier cameras in some cases. The adjustment is superb and the grip is very strong. I have had cameras mounted on trucks outside on highway for miles with no failure they are definitely sturdy. So sturdy I own several of them now. They help me, create new videos with a creative perspective being able to get the cameras just where I want them. From mountain bikes to dirt bikes these are tough and I have not had one issue with them. Works with all quarter inch mounts and is a must own for any creator

The Super Camera Clamp Mount with Double Ball Head Adapter - # 1138, is a good quality item. Tightening the clamp is easily done. The double ball head adapter is strongly secured when clamp pressure is applied and groves in the ball heads keep the ball head ends from slipping once clamped. The ball head adapter appears to be made of a high quality durable plastic. The clamp is heavy in weight and is of quality construction. Overall I have no complaints with this item. In my application it simply sat clamped onto a tripod post during the short period of time I had it in my possession. So I can't say how it would perform while connected to the handle bar of a bike that's in motion. I returned the item only because I wanted to upgrade to a similar SmallRig item, that being the The Super Camera Clamp Mount with Double Ball Head Adapter - # 3757 which is of even higher quality in all the areas I mentioned for the # 1138 model. The # 3757 is mostly of metal construction and has a nice design and paint job. I decided to upgrade mostly for that reason and Amazon's return policy helped matters as well. I just bought a second # 3737 item but in my opinion both items are great. If that weren't enough, they both have great price points.

Overall this is very sturdy and works well. I have a couple issues with it though. One is that if the ballhead that screws into the clamp becomes unscrewed, there is not a great way to really screw it back in tightly since there’s nothing to grab and twist except the fully smooth ballhead. It looks like that issue may be improved in the latest version of the product based on the pictures though (EDIT: I bought it and that issue is in fact fixed, but the following issue remains). The other issue is that the pads on the clamp are too short. I have this clamped on a desk and the metal digs into the desk and has dented it.

I started using these for camera stuff but now I solve all kinds of problems with them. You can tell by just holding them that the build quality is pretty great, especially for the cost. I've never broken one... Like never. I'll bet if I cranked one down tight enough the clamp could support me hanging off the edge of a building (obviously don't test this, this is not climbing equipment). I give these out like candy on set, I have a whole bag that is literally just these. Sometimes the rubber comes out of the jaws after excessive use and it's a bit of a pain to get back in... maybe that's the only thing that might not be perfect, but the few that this has happened to I have put through absolute hell. The screws are still sturdy and that's all that matters to me. I have used several other competitor products and i hate them all because these are so well-made. These are by far one of the most reliable and consistent tools that I have ever used, just remember to put the load on the right side of the thread and you're good.

Fantastic, versatile clamp, which I imagine I’ll be getting a lot of use out of. You can pretty much attach it to anything, I can’t believe I didn’t have one of these in my kit already. It looks really well built and strong too, I can see why this is such a popular item and glad I took the chance on it!

nice quality, all metal, really strong and safe to use. only had to retight it a couple time in a couple of summer

Very impressed with this item. Used it on a recent motorcycle adventure in the United States, covering 6,000km's in 13 days. It's solidly built and handled everything i threw at it. Easy to adjust and move to different mounting points and never shifted once i set it to the desired angle. I really wanted something sturdy so i didn't worry about losing my cameras and from the moment you pick this up and feel the weight of it you know it's going to serve you well. Super happy with this purchase. It's the first Smallrig item i've bought and i have to admit i'm a bit of a convert now after seeing how well made this is.

Fantastic quality but good for lighter point and shoot camera or action camera.
