Good collections, but I urge you to not call it mythology. It' is our History, which we must acknowledge and embrace.

In these times of nuclear families, where kids don't even stay with grandparents, who will keep them connected with our rich mythological stories? Amar Chitrakatha does this in the most kids friendly format, that is comic books! This might be an expensive purchase, but compare it to what you will otherwise end up buying for your kids over a year.

Box was not intact, but book set were in good condition. Total 73 books. Purchased with 4935 Rs, (@67.60 Rs per book). Children loved the set.

This collection by Amar Chitra Katha took me back to my childhood ... literally! Each book has clear text that is complemented beautifully by colorful graphics. From the tales of Lord Shiva, and the cute antics of Lord Ganesha to the Ramayana. Gods, Goddesses, Demons, Mythology, Virtuous Sages, Honor - all come together in this collection that is a must-have.

The box set was bought as a Diwali present for our great niece and nephew. It will give them hours of reading and hopefully light a spark of interest in our Indian heritage. The Amar Chitra Katha comics have a nice glossy cover. I have the original ones that were published in the 1970's and they had very thin covers. So, these new ones are really nice. The carrying box is good. I had to add extra tape on the bottom to support it better as the bottom was slightly torn even though the package was shipped inside a really sturdy shipping box. The seller should think about adding extra padding inside to support during shipping from India.

I forgot how awesome these were. It came in a compact package as shown. Full of beautiful artwork and the stories are often too wrenching and illuminating even for adults. The writing also reminded me from where I developed my vocabulary. They are very sturdy comic books themselves, the pages won't fall out.

But each and every book is worth a Treasure even for Seniors. I love the smell of new books. Worth the money. Keep it up.
