Update again: replacement remote arrived and works perfectly. Update: just after the warranty expires the remote has gone on the fritz. Called Emerson directly to troubleshoot and diagnose. They do think it's the remote. They are sending out a new one free of charge. Great customer service. I will update when it arrives. Wet rated for outdoors, easy to install. Quiet. The remote is perfect for the light and variable speeds for the fan. Simple low profile design. I'm really happy with the quality and performance.

We ordered 2 of the stainless fans based on the description of them being wet rated! We hung them under an enclosed deck which is almost water right! We had a massive storm and the fans/receivers got wet which caused the fans to stop working! We contacted Emerson directly and talked to a very nice customer service lady! They agreed the description is misleading and refunded our money! The white fans described online are wet rated so we ordered those! These are nice fans and the customer service was very helpful so I only knocked off 1 star for the inconvenience of having to take the old fans down and send them back! I will give Emerson 5 stars for making it right! Update: I gave credit to the wrong customer service! My wife contacted Emerson who advised her to start with Amazon! She did and Amazon customer service was super nice and helpful! They refunded our money and we ordered the right ones!!

Fan works great all the time - but the light will only work if the fan is not running. If the fan is not running the light works as it should - dims and brightens with the remote. But as soon as you turn the fan on the lights go off.

We LOVE this fan. It is beautiful - the design is very sleek and very quiet. It works very well - pushes a lot of air around the room. We bought another because we love it so much! The color is beautiful and the finish is stunning.

I bought this fan in 2013 and have thoroughly enjoyed it since. Recently the light cover (globe) broke. I looked for a generic replacement, but it didn't exist. I had to go through a distributor at a cost of over $53 (with shipping). That cost is ridiculous! But unfortunately, I didn't find a feasible alternative. Found similar globes in a larger size, but this unique size wasn't available elsewhere. It is roughly 5", and the others I found online were 7" at a cost of under $20.

Love these. Bought 3 of them. Had our contractor install them for us in our bedrooms. They are very quiet. During the hot summer we can leave them on a low setting all night long. We bought the version with the largest blades offered and the light kit.

The two 50W lamps actually put out a useful amount of light (many fans have no more than mood lighting). The six speed fan is nice though less-needed for an outdoor application. Looks good & installation was reasonable - solid as a rock with no effort needed to get it balanced. The one glitch is that the light button on the remote doesn't always respond immediately - I have to push it a couple times and/or hold it down to make it work. I'm not sure this is a defect and it's not worth uninstalling the fan even if it is.

Fast delivery, easy to install. Ordered on a Tuesday, I had it installed on Thursday when my wife arrived home. Looks and works great on our covered deck. Remote and downlighting are both nice touches.
