Surco S5060 Safari Roof Cargo Basket and Cross Bars - 50" x 60"

Put this safari rack on a 1993 Landcruiser. Fit great. Per another reviewer's suggestion, I used stainless steel U bolts from Lowe's with lock washers for less than $15, much cheaper than buying the clamps. Cost a bit more than the cheap steel safari rack, but well worth it. Sturdy and strong, lightweight and rust proof aluminum. Looks great too. Bought a bungee net from amazon for $10 which fits great on it. Just put 8 bodyboards and two surfboards on it for our family trip to the beach.

Product seemed made of quality materials but was missing nuts, bolts and brackets...

I have a 2013 Jeep Sahara Unlimited 4-door, in black, and this rack looks really, really good. You will need to buy the Surco J600 Roof Rack Hard Top Adapter for Jeep JK to install the rack on your JK. Amazon shows the rack as incompatible with the JK, but with the adapter brackets, install works like a charm and the rack looks great. The design of the rack and mounting brackets is pretty ingenious...I was impressed by the engineering quality of the components. I've already gotten several compliments on the rack. Totally recommend this item if you're looking for a 'safari/cargo' style rack for your Jeep.

A nice and pretty yet affordable basket in my opinion. I've put on about 130lbs spread onto the two rails and have no problems. Doesn't creak or bend on bumpy trails. Not sure how wind noise will be for the newer cars but for my 85 landcruiser with minimal soundproofing, I hear my engine more than anything. I have lights setup on top to light up my campsite and it's come in handy when I have to tow people out. It is mounted on gutter rails using Yakima towers. I have put chicken wire as a lightweight flooring and did all installation steps solo. FYI: Do not lose any screws like me because there are NO extras!

The package came with missing bolts. Quality is poor which is to be expected with the price point.

roof racks are somehow hideously priced, but this one is in the affordable range. of course, that means you loose a decent floor without modifications and it's not strong enough for mounting lights to, but it's very lightweight which is nice. overall a decent light duty rack

I have a 2007 Hummer H3 and did lots of research on quality, price and of course other reviews. The Surco rack is s Wonderful buy as I picked out the 50"x60". It was very easy to put together being my first and shipping was Super Fast!! I drove with my family 600+ miles with the rack full and performed better than I thought. I was so impressed with the way it performed and how good it makes my H3 look. With additional accessories available I hope to be adding a hi-jack with mount, shovel with mount and lights mounted to the rack(lights/mount not from Surco). I suggest to do your own DD on the rack and the size you want/need.

Amazon said it wouldn't fit, but it absolutely does. This is a great product and I love that it's aluminum (I live in the salt belt)! Skip the process of buying cheaper steel baskets that will rust, racks that need clamps AND crossbars to use, and paying excessive amounts for rare-use needs. This is lightweight, yet strong. No complaints!!
