Bowflex SelectTech Series – Adjustable Dumbbells & Kettlebell 52, 90, 552i, 1090i, & 840, Smart, Space-Saving Home Gym Strength Training

Having carried out a lot of research I finally plumped for two off sets. Having arrived encased in polystyrene they were well protected with no signs of any damage. Once unpacked I was impressed by the quality and sturdiness of both the weights and stand. These are solid, well made and extremely easy to use with the gearing mechanism proving very reliable. They're also very compact & take up the minimal amount of room. The time you save in not interchanging weights does make your workout more streamlined and effective. Would strongly recommend!!

Really good dumbbells, such a space saver for my small garage gym

I’ve been using these weights for a few months now, they’re easy to use, easy to change the weights and they take up no space. They feel and look well built and are comfy to lift. They are expensive, however you’d pay a similar price for weight that take up lots more space.

I bought this after using my sister’s kettle bell from the same manufacturer. I like the adaptability of having multiple weights condensed in one without needing a huge rack. It just hadn’t occurred to me that I would have to buy two in order to do many of my work out routines! And it’s expensive - a big investment which hopefully will last.

I Purchased two sets of these. These Bowflex SelectTech dumbbells are easily one of the best additions to my home setup. I was tired of tripping over mismatched dumbbells and wasting time swapping plates mid-workout. These solved both problems in one go. The dial system is super smooth—just twist to your weight, lift, and go. It feels a little like unlocking a cheat code for home fitness. Whether I’m doing quick supersets or full-body workouts, it’s fast, efficient, and keeps things tidy. Build quality feels solid, and the grip is comfortable. The weights click in securely, so there’s no rattling or sketchy movement during use. It’s also way more compact than a full dumbbell rack, which is a huge win if you’re working out in a smaller space. Yeah, the price isn’t cheap—but when you consider you’re getting 15+ sets of dumbbells in one, it’s totally worth it. Plus, they just look cool. Bonus motivation. If you’re serious about training at home without cluttering your space, these are a no-brainer. Quietly awesome and super convenient.

We wanted a set of weights that wouldn’t take up much space, felt comfortable in the hand, and were quick to adjust. We ended up buying two sets so we could train both arms simultaneously, and honestly, we’ve never used weights that adjust this fast, it takes seconds!, which is amazing. The grip feels secure and well‑designed too. I’d highly recommend these to anyone who likes their equipment to stay tidy and wants to spend less time fiddling with weight changes and more time actually working out.

These are fantastic. Sure, they look a bit unorthodox, compared to normal weights, but they really are fantastic. You get used to them quickly, meaning no exercise I’ve tried (at least yet) is restricted by them being a bit oversized If I did have one tiny gripe, it’s the increments between the likes of 11-14 Kgs and 20-23 Kgs. It would be a little bit better if the incrementals here were closer. But, it really is a very minor gripe I’ve had these for nearly a year and love them!

Wenn man sie auspackt stellt man gleich mal fest das es sich um ein robustes Teil handelt. Hinweis, ich habe 2 Stück der Hanteln gekauft. 👍🏻Vorteile: + Man spart jede Menge Hantelscheiben + Gute solide Verarbeitung + Gewicht (2 bis 24kg) kann schnell und einfach eingestellt werden + Gewichte werden in jeder Lage stabil gehalten 👎🏻 Nachteile: - Keine Fazit: Die Hantel kann sofort nach dem Auspacken in Betrieb genommen werden. Ich habe nun die Hanteln seit 2 Wochen im Einsatz. Es ist einfach ein gewisser Luxus wenn man rasch und einfach sein gewünschtes Wunschgewicht für seine Übung einstellen kann. In der Vergangenheit musste ich da jedes Mal Scheiben umschlichten. Man erspart sich einfach jede Menge Zeit und kann definitiv zielgerichteter trainieren. Auch zu erwähnen das die Hantelscheiben, egal in welcher Konstellation fest sitzen. D.h. auch bei Überzügen oder anderen Übungen kann man die Hantel sehr gut auch bei den Scheiben greifen. Das Einstellen erfolgt in der vorgesehenen Halterung, auch das funktioniert hervorragend. Ich persönlich finde auch den Griff der Hantel sehr passend und auf keinen Fall unangenehm. Die verstellbare Hantel von Bowflex bekommt von mir volle 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Sie wird bei mir weiterhin regelmäßig verwendet werden. Ich möchte sie auf keinen Fall mehr missen. Sollte sich im Laufe der Zeit ein Mangel herausstellen werde ich meine Rezension updaten. Ich hoffe das ich Ihnen mit meiner Rezension ein wenig behilflich sein konnte, danke für das Lesen :-)

Okay, I bought 2 of these. Changing the weights works 'alright'. It really doesn't work perfectly. Especially not when you're in a workout and thus probably shaking / sweating / heavily breathing. In that case changing the weights won't go as smooth as you'd expect from a dumbell at this price level. The concept is great. But the materials used are insanely weak. It's all plastic. If you want to enjoy these dumbells for a couple of years, you'd better treat them as if they're made from glass. So no bumping, no dropping, and always using great caution when putting them back in the base, or when changing weights. Not what you'd want with dumbells. I seriously don't understand why Bowflex doesn't improve the materials they use. Or actually, I do understand. Bowflex is probably just in it for the quick sales.
