Hatte dieses Teil beim Kauf meiner Pfaff IDT Nähmaschine dabei und möchte ohne nicht mehr nähen. Das wechseln der Nadel geht damit auch total fix. Leider hab ich schon ein paar mal mit einem Zierstich drauf genäht. Drum hab ich Ersatz gesucht und gefunden.Absolute Empfehlung allerdings ziemlich teuer. Daran könnte sicher noch gearbeitet werden. ;-)

I don't use this for buttons. I use it to sew over thick seams. This is also known as a "Hump Jumper." I had been struggling with sewing over thick seams with my Kenmore sewing machine for years. I discovered this little gem and it works so well! Here's how I use it: when approaching a thick seam, stop sewing and make sure that the needle is in the fabric, lift the presser foot, insert the Hump Jumper under the presser foot from behind the needle. Lower the presser foot. Begin sewing and voila, the sewing machine sews right over the hump of fabric! The stitches are just as tight as they would be with the presser foot touching the fabric even though the presser foot is hovering above the fabric. The Hump Jumper slides out the back automatically as you continue sewing. There are two thickness of plastic on either end of the Hump Jumper. This is great because it allows it to be used on both thinner or thicker layers of fabric. There are Hump Jumper demo videos on YouTube.
