This Roget Large Print Book is a Dictionary, a very simplistic one, masking itself as a Thesaurus. Major shortage of Synonyms and no Antonyms. May be good for first level learner of English. Hoped for a lot more. The good news is it is bound beautifully and Large Print Easy to Read Print.

I’m a long time user of a thesaurus so I am also particular - one might call me “fussy” - about the thesaurus I choose to have on hand. With age, and the advent of macular degeneration, my vision is worsening. This large print thesaurus, a version of the classic Roger’s Thesaurus, is not the usual intensive all-inclusive study but rather presents the most useful synonym studies instead. I was uncertain how I would like that at first but I quickly saw the editors have chosen representationally so there are useful lists for me to choose from. This is a handy, readable addition to word study and a real boon to people who need a boost to better see the printed page.

Not pleased to have paid $46.98 for this large print thesaurus which is valued at $18.00 new and have it arrive with a wrinkled outer cover/jacket, but glad it wasn’t ordered for a gift.

I use this almost every day when writing. It's a great resource, and while there are probably better thesauruses out there this one works for me. The large print is great, and it has enough content that I don't need to do a Google search when needing to find the right work.Recommended.5/5*

It wasn't as big as we thought.

This is definitely for a younger writer because the word choices are far fewer than that of a typical thesaurus due to the fact that it's a large print copy.

This reference book is a MUST for the visually impaired . Whether you are a student or a person wanting to improve one's vocabulary , you need look no further than this book . The hard cover edition contains more references than it's paperback version and hurts ten times as much when used as a Weapon of Mass Destruction , by a pissed off g-friend during her'time'of the month !

Perfect gift for my 90 year old father, an avid reader and wordsmith who has macular degeneration. He loves it and uses it often! Thank you for having this available in Large Print!

I was very disappointed in this Rogets Thesaurus. Having had the normal size printed one many years ago, which fell to pieces from constant use, I bought this thinking it would be very similar, it wasn't. It did not have anywhere near the content of the other one, I gave it away to a charity last year.

Bought this as a present for a relative who has poor vision. Found she was not using it and apparently because the print is larger it has not got the amount of information in it as her old one. Shame as I was so pleased when I bought it.

this item was bought for my father who is partially blind and he is highly delighted with the thesaurus. he said it is large and clearly printed, enough for him to be able to carry on enjoying his crosswords. so in essence it does what it was advertised

Ancient mother loves it but it is not the same as the original and took getting used to. Print size ideal.

This is am excellent book, bought for my dad because of the large print, he loves it ideal gift for the elderly.
