Elements of Electromagnetics (OXF SER ELEC)

Exactly as advertised
This book came in excellent condition. It was the exact edition stated in the advertisement. Personally, I find the physical book much more helpful than the PDF. (easier to read and flip between pages). If you use this textbook for class, you should consider buying it (it is worth the money).

Excellent introduction into Electromagnetics
For my first class into Electromagnetics I was assuming it was going to be hard, and dont get me wrong it is, but this book breaks it down to where you can grasp a better understanding of the concepts and procedures to get a better understanding of the material.

Love this book!!!!
This book is a great way to learn intermediate electricity and magnetism especially if you are studying from a experimental physics or engineering perspective.

Solid
Solid EM book. Nice diagrams. Good basics on the subject. Another keeper. I recommend that you keep this one as a ref. for grad school. Don't toss it or give it away.

What book did I order?
My copy of this book has a chapter from an economics textbook on 'present worth techniques' replacing a chapter on electric fields in materials that I need to read for class. This book is presently worthless to me. Too bad the return policy expired the day before we got to those pages in class.

Not easy to read.
My school uses this textbook for a series of two electrical engineering courses in electromagnetics. This book is not easy to read. The formulae are often more complicated than necessary and important steps are left out of the calculations. Also, there is no explanation for even the few selected problem answers. After using the book for a semester I was hardly surprised to see that Q and R are reversed in the index.

Better quality than I expected for a used item. Basically new. Definitely worth the money.

I found it really helpful and can not beat the price at any university bookstore!

Good undergraduate text
Contains an excellent introductory chapter on vector algebra, which is an absolute must if you wish to move on to more advanced work in electrodynamics. Also a good book for self-study - has a good selection of problems with answers to the odd-numbered problems (not always the right answer however). Good starter book before you move on to more advanced stuff as in Ohanian: Classical Electrodynamics or Schwartz: Principles of Electrodynamics.
