Tonnino Tuna Fillet,Spring Water 6.7 Oz (Pack of 5)

This is the best tuna I have ever tasted! I used to love tuna sandwiches as a kid but as I got older it didn’t taste like it did back in the day. I tried all the regular brands and then progressed to the upscale brands at the grocery store but I feel they all now have a fishy taste. I read a review on tuna since lent was approaching and found the Tonnino brand, so I figured I would try it. Wow I’m so glad I did, it is light and not at all fishy. I don’t even make tuna salad I just put Mayo on both sides of the bread and add half the contents of the jar to one side. I add tomatoes to the other piece of bread and salt them. Then I add lettuce, capers and a few snips of green onion. IT IS AWESOME! I will continue eating this tuna after lent because even though it is pricey, $8 a jar and each jar makes 2 sandwiches, it is worth it to eat something so delicious!

I ordered 10 jars which came in two boxes. When I opened the first box, I could smell a strong oder of tuna and the tuna looked pale gray in color, not like the pink color it usually is. The seals were open on some of the jars which caused the leakage of tuna water in the box. The inside of the box was stained and wet. The second box did not have any leakage, but the tuna definitely did not look like the tuna I purchase from the grocery store. It was very pale color gray and appeared to have much more water in the jar and looked like the tuna fillets were tuna flakes, not fillets.

Not particularly being a fish lover (or smeller), I am very satisfied with this brand. It does not smell (or the most minimal smell). The pieces of fish are larger that you would typically get in a can, too. And very tasty. This tuna is a little pricey but absolutely worth the cost! You get what you pay for with this!

After having a jar of this tuna, I will never go back to canned tuna. This brand is the best one I have found and highly recommend it.

Have ordered Tonnino tuna on Amazon and each time I have really enjoyed the bottles that have not opened on shipping. When I received this shipment I did not examine each bottle so when I went to open it I found old maggots on 2 bottles that had opened. I was so disgusted I found something else for lunch. From now on I will examine each bottle when I receive them. This is the second or third shipment that has had at least 1 or 2 open bottles when they arrive. PLEASE SEAL THEM BETTER!!!!!

This by far is the best tuna you will ever taste. Way better than tuna in a can. I’ll nvr buy tuna in a can again. This is rather pricey; however I think we’ll worth the extra money.

I've ordered this multiple times and every time the jars have been either fully or partially opened leaking tuna water everywhere or leaving them unusable because the safety seal has popped. 3rd time was the final order. DO NOT purchase unless you want $45 of tuna that you cant use. The channels for a refund on a non-refundable item take a while also so its not worth the hassle.

Best that you'll find packed in water, which is great for making tuna salad and tuna melts.
