Large Bottle Bank

It took us five years to fill this thing. There was little to no discipline involved here. We were just tossing spare change in whenever we had it. After 5 years we had about $700 in there. With no real plan on why we were doing this we ended up buying a new sofa.It's a great challenge to yourself to have this. You have to make yourself a binding promise not to open it until it is full. We have already begun refilling it.Only small problem I have with this is the weight. Once full its so heavy we were worried about it collapsing the floor boards.I'm not even joking.

I don't know if they just made a million of these 30 years ago and have never run out, or if the machines used to make them haven't been modified once since being turned on, but this is EXACTLY like the one we had in my home when I was a child. Even better, it makes the same satisfying sound when a handful of coins are dropped in! It's like seeing an old 90's commercial on YouTube (TalkBoy, Crossfire, MoonShoes, Skipit!), total childhood flashbacks.The lid is easy to open and close, and there are no visible defects in the plastic. I just wanted somewhere to put my spare change, and when I saw this on Amazon I knew I had to have it. For only 10 dollars I was kindy madIt shipped really fast... the box was kindy damaged when i received it and it really didn't have any good protection inside the box for the bottleJust some loose packaging paperOverall it does it's job ..it holds your loose changeI'm gonna fill mine up with only quarters and see how long it takes meI'm gonna guess a few years

It's great! Nice size and it's made out of strong plastic. Only problem is that the top is removable which is no big deal but makes it tempting to sneak some money out lol

I would see a lot of my friends with this and when I would ask where they got it from, no one could remember because they had it for years or it was a gift. I instantly wanted one for my family. So I began looking. I purchased one for my 5 year old daughter and she is in love with it. Nice color, very sturdy, I see why they said they had it for years. But it isn’t heavy and she’s able to move it around her room herself when need be. The cutout hole fits bills and change wonderfully. The lid can come off with some force applied which I think is good. I was kind of mad Walmart had it in stores the following week for half what I paid though.

Great bank! My wife had one of these for the past 30 years and it looked great. Over the years we had put coins in it and accumulated enough to be just under the Coca Cola logo, one day I decided to move it so I could vacuum the carpet. I guess the plastic finally had enough and cracked on me. I decided to look on Amazon for a replacement and sure enough, they had the exact same bank. This one however had a thinner silver cap, but the bottle itself was of similar quality. Also, the new one had a solid base, where as the old one looked like it was glued in place. The cap is also removable so you can easily empty out the bank, if you desired. Overall a very good bank and a nice size to save lots and lots of coins!

This was just what I have been looking for for years!!! This is going to be so much FUN to fill up!!! I thought it was of high quality but will be veryyyyyy heavy once filled up !!! Hoping the bottom can take all the weight once FULL, so don't try to just pick it right up !!! I am so glad I found this item and I would buy it again !!! If you are looking for a big bank to just have a lot of FUN filling, this is the item for you !!! I have a friend who has something like this and brags about it all the time so that is why I went looking on Amazon to see what I could find. Believe me it is going to take me a longggggggg time to fill this bottle up!!! LOL It really does look like a real Coke bottle.

The design reminds exactly of the one I had as a child. Though, I would agree with some of the other reviews the cover is much easier to get off than the old versions. The one I had as a kid we had to break to get it open. It gets very heavy before its even half full. My only complaint about Amazon and buying this item here is the fluctuating prices. I paid about $20 for mine, but now I see the price at almost $30. Even for the nostalgia $30 is too much for this item.
