Great product
Itโs great way to plug in headphones and listen to music if you need to charge your wireless one. Fits great with my iPhone 8 and it functions well.

TLD[on't]R! Worked greatโseemed authentic
I'm on this page to purchase a new adapter just like the one (or 2?)I previously used, which seems to have been lost by the certain kiddo of mine who loses stuff as often as I doโor misplaced by me.Okay, first, so I first purchased the now-lost adapter from *this* listing/this seller, as Amazon points out at the top of this page. (See pic.)Second, even minor audio stuff is a bigger deal to me than (I really imagine) to most people, as my actual professional is that of a professional "art music" ["classical" musician, as most understandably sayโbut that term has some problems of which of course I'll spare you the details here]. So, all I'm saying is, I notice audio quality, & I have little patience even for arguably poor CALL quality or whatnot. For these reasons, I think I'm qualified to assure you.Last time I got this from this retailer, there was, as I recall, no concern about any generic-type packagIngโno concern about it being a knock-off immediately.More important, as this was my first such adapter, I remember being quite pleasantly pleased with everything about it. I used it with whichever iPhone(s) I had at the time for calls & on-the-go media listening, as well as a with my iPad Pro for listening, recording, etc., with earbuds when whatever I was listening to was not some huge deal, and for more-huge-deal listening with my beloved Audio-Technicas,, a [surprisingly great, particularly for noise cancelling] paid of Bose, or either of my "audiophile" young kids' high-end Sonys (&, btw, I'm not ax mum who gets my kids unduly high-end things, but I found those, obviously MAjorly mistakenly under-priced on Amazon Prime Now ~15 months ago, so I of course snatched those instead of getting the correctly priced cheap ones).NO PROBLEM AT ALL with this adapter, for however long I had it readily available (maybe over a year), & I've personally no reason to have believs the seller has "gone to the dark side" or whatever.BUT, as I'm ordering a couple of so more of these today for same-day delivery, I PROMISE you that if there's ANY problem, I'll add an addendum to this. Okay? (And, yeah, I KNOW a lot of folks say stuff like that, but they unexpectedly get too busy, or forget, or have become so fed up with Amz they can't tolerate anything concerning reviews. I get it. But, when it comes to anything that disrupts my music-listening or playing, I'll hop on Amazon to warn folks. (Not the case [as consistently] with so many of the not-well-considered, purchased, cheap clothing, my very rare "home decor" purchases or whatever. And, you know, I used to review thingx rather diligently because the review set-up used to be (long, long ago) really helpful. But now, there are so many maddeningly obvious fake reviews, and maddeningly non-obvious (paid-for)!fake reviewsโsellersv getting pressured to hype their often-pointless drop-ship merchandise, or (even worse) sellers paying folks to rip apart competitors' wares. The system now has too little utility for me to bother with it.But, as I promised, if there's a problem with my new purchase here, I'll let you know. If I don't (by, like, early February 2021), you can assume I'm pleased as punch with the new purchase (or that something terrible has happened in, or to, my lifeโbut as I'm confined to home, with good security system, & as we're in good health these days, just assume the news adapters all worked out.Okay. Metrorail stop coming up, so I'll end this odd review with verrbose, general commentary, Take care.

Does what you would expect
The Apple Lightning to 3.5mm headphone jack adapter is a useful accessory for anyone who owns an iPhone or iPad without a headphone jack. As someone who has used this adapter for several months, I can say that it works perfectly and does exactly what it's supposed to do.The adapter is compact and lightweight, making it easy to carry around in a pocket or bag. It connects directly to the Lightning port on the iPhone or iPad and provides a standard 3.5mm headphone jack for connecting headphones or other audio devices. The audio quality through the adapter is excellent, with no noticeable loss of quality or distortion. The adapter also supports microphone input, which makes it a great choice for anyone who needs to make phone calls or record audio using an external microphone. One thing to note is that the adapter is not compatible with all headphones and audio devices. Some headphones with built-in controls or microphones may not work properly with the adapter, and some high-impedance headphones may not get enough power to drive them properly. However, these cases are relatively rare, and most headphones and audio devices will work perfectly with the adapter.Overall, the Apple Lightning to 3.5mm headphone jack adapter is a useful accessory for anyone who needs to connect headphones or other audio devices to an iPhone or iPad without a headphone jack. Its compact size, excellent audio quality, and microphone input support make it a great choice for anyone who needs to use headphones or external microphones with their Apple device.

I miss having a real headphone jack, but this is a workable, if not perfect substitute
I guess I am old school, but I really love having a real 3.5 mm headphone jack, which is why I clung to my old iPhone SE for so long. That phone died and became way too insecure (no more updates), so now I am stuck with this adapter on a jackless (s/le/a/) phone.Positives:-It works, and it is from Apple, i.e. not a cheap knockoff.Negatives:-The edges on the 3.5 mm barrel and the housing surrounding the lightning connector are hard and abrupt (which seems like a very non-Apple design choice!), i.e. why didn't they fillet / smooth the edges of the hard plastic?-My Apple EarPods sometimes disconnected from this adapter connector when pulling on the cable trying to fish the phone out of my pocket.Directly related to this (and the cause of temporary minor emotional sadness lol) is that my phone just dropped while I was wearing my headphones. Since the connector disconnects fairly easily, the headphones detached from the adapter, causing the phone to continue its accelerating trajectory towards the ground. The impact bent the lightning connector, so now the adapter is dead.Despite my gripes above, I still need one. Unfortunately, this item (as of Jan 8, 2025) seems to no longer be in stock at Amazon or at Apple. I'm guessing it is discontinued (hope I'm wrong). RIP.

Useful tool for connecting headphones to your iPhone
Itโs a good little device. Itโs an adapter for headphones to connect to an iPhone lightning port. It also incorporates a DAC and the sound is improved with this little device, which is hard to believe because itโs tiny.

Great for the need
The Apple Lightning to 3.5 mm Headphone Jack Adapter is a must-have accessory for anyone with an iPhone or iPad that doesn't have a headphone jack. I recently purchased this adapter and have been extremely pleased with its performance and convenience. The adapter is small and compact, making it easy to carry with me wherever I go. It's also very easy to use - simply plug your headphones into the adapter and then plug the adapter into your device's lightning port. The adapter is compatible with a wide range of headphones, including both Apple and non-Apple brands.I appreciate that this adapter allows me to continue using my favorite pair of headphones with my iPhone, even though it doesn't have a headphone jack. The sound quality is excellent and I haven't experienced any issues with static or interference. One downside to this adapter is that it's easy to lose. It's very small and doesn't come with any type of case or holder, so it's important to be careful not to misplace it.Overall, I would highly recommend the Apple Lightning to 3.5 mm Headphone Jack Adapter to anyone in need of a way to connect their headphones to an iPhone or iPad without a headphone jack. Its small size, excellent sound quality, and wide compatibility make it a great investment for any iPhone or iPad user.

Worth the money
I bought from another supplier and the sound was patchy. I had to return them and order the adapter straight from apple. Works perfectly.
