Beautiful book. A really nice gift for any artist or traveler.

David Gentleman is at the top of his game. Every page is a delight. With a few strokes and a little color he conveys the atmosphere of his subject perfectly.

This is a lovely book

I discovered this large hardcover 192 page book (David Gentlemen’s London) in our local library and found it to be a beautiful and very informative text about London, England. I have never been to London and reading this book has sparked my interest in traveling to that wonderful city.This giant size book has beautiful artistic illustrations that makes the book really come alive. The following areas are covered in this volume: (1) The River (The Thames Barrier, Greenwich-London dockland and other areas.) (2) The city and the east end of London. (3) Westminster and St. James’s. (3) The Parks (St. James’s Park and Whitehall, Green Park and the Broad walk and Hyde Park and the Rotten Row etc.). (4) The west end.(5) Villages and suburbs of London.This is an excellent coffee table kind of book that anyone interested in London will love reading. This short review does not do justice to the amount of fantastic information about London and the beautiful color illustrations are worth the price of the book alone.Whether you have traveled to London or not, this is a book you will enjoy reading. A truly wonderful and inspiring book. It was obviously a labour of love for the author/artist. I ordered my copy from Amazon marketplace for very little money and I received a great quality signed copy from the seller!

Glorious drawings of this glorious city! Really lovely book, even though it’s obviously second-hand.

Knew what I was getting. Studying different styles of painting. Needed this book for my class. Wonderful drawings

I returned this books - not such good illustrations as his book on Paris
