White Steel Risers, 6" Height
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. I had a set of 4 very heavy duty plastic, square 5" high risers, but purchased a new & heavy bed (& frame) and now needed 6 risers. (I could have purchased the same style/size riser, but the plastic is no longer the same quality and would have required that I reinforce the 2 extra I needed with 4"x4" wood or something else.) So, I thought I would try this set of steel risers due to great reviews. I have used them with my new bed for about a week, and they seem to be settling in (they are on carpet) and feeling more stable than the first day. Here are my observations, so far:PROs:-Very Sturdy steel vs. the cheap plastic found in most other risers today.-I like the WHITE color.-6" height is unusual to find. My bed is now nice and high--and so much added storage underneath is great.CONs:-The cup could be deeper (my old plastic risers had a slightly deeper "cup" and it seemed less likely that the frame wheel could come out if the bed was bumped.)-The diameter of the steel base (~5") is not as wide as my old, sturdy plastic risers (~6"), so they don't feel as stable, especially at the 6" height.-Since the cup is not attached to base, I had to follow other customers' advice and purchase the hardware to secure each piece together. If I had not secured the cup to the base, I would NOT have felt safe using these risers.I thought it might save others time/frustration if I shared the steps and precise supplies I used in the attached "video" (apparently, we can no longer upload customer images, so hopefully the "video" works. Details are also listed below.)Supplies:(6) 5/16"x1" Hex Bolts (Home Depot)(6) 5/16" Hex Nuts (Home Depot)(6) 5/16"x1.5" Fender Washers (Home Depot)(6) 3/8T - Rubber Grommets (1-11/16 ODx1-3/16 ID) (Lowes)(2) 6"x6" Rubber Sheets (Ace Hardware)Tools I used: Pliers & Bent Allen Wrench1. Place cup on riser; insert Hex Bolt, and turn Riser over.2. Insert Rubber Grommet.3. Screw & tighten Fender Washer and Hex Nut to Hex Bolt, using Pliers & Bent Allen Wrench.4. Turn over Riser...5. Cut Rubber Sheets to fit in Riser Cup.These risers are not as perfect as I had hoped, but the best I have found so far. I think the product "cons" I listed are just poor design issues, and deter from making this a really great product. If these features were corrected, I might be willing to pay even more for really secure, sturdy risers, as I've found few/no other options on the market. **I recommend using them, IF you secure the cup and base together.**

Simple, effective, and strong.
Very simple to install, will fit all varieties of bed posts. I have this under an Ikea bed frame and it works fine, but there are holes for bed frames with wheel posts. There is minimal rocking once the dents in your carpet have been established. They are also sturdy. I wouldn't recommend letting your kids jump on the bed with these, but for normal use and with heavy people they seem to hold up well. And, getting a set of 6 means you have 2 spares in the unlikely event the risers should decide to give out--which right now doesn't seem to be an issue, ever. The one minor complaint I would have is that the base is very wide, so I can't push my bed all the way against the wall anymore.

While these risers lifted the bed as expected...every time you nudged the bed or moved too quickly, it fell off the risers! I was afraid for my daughter to sleep on these!

Work very well as advertised, only complaint would be that because they are so tall they can be a little unstable. But that just comes from the height. Would buy again, or maybe one slightly shorter.

One Star
Less than a week and one of them bent.

Metal Risers
These metal risers really work great. I chose the 6-inch ones in white. They are tough and will never break in use. I got some 3/8" round-head machine screws (bolts) and some nylon locking nuts with washers to hold the top piece to the lower piece. I am very pleased with the quality of the risers.

Excellent
These are much sturdier that the cheap plastic ones I've used in the past.
