had unit for 5-6 years, worked great when working, but over that time went thru 3 sets of switches, which were difficult to obtain, company originally said they weren't available but then found some on different coffee website. seems I was niot the only one who needed switches. switch failed again recently and I thru the whole thing away and will buy a different brand to try.

THE COMPANY LIED THAT THE INTERIOR COMPONENTS ARE ALL METAL.I opened mine up after it stopped working. The water poured in travels through a plastic tube into a metal container that heats the water, then the piping hot water travels back up through another plastic tube into another plastic container then out into the strainer then your cup. So angry all the years their lie got me.

I've owned this coffee maker for more than 12 years. I owned Bundt coffee makers for years but they only lasted 3 to 5 years. Another great advantage is that it uses about half as much coffee to make coffee the same strength. After reading the negative review I decided to take the back off the coffee maker and examine it. I found high quality parts and excellent workmanship. The high temperature transfer tubing was in like new condition after 12 years of continuous use. I highly recommend this coffee maker.Update 4/1/2021:14 years and still the best coffee maker I've ever owned! Some have remarked that it uses a plastic tube, that is incorrect it is actually a silicone tube used in many commercial coffee makers.
