Well built, compact RAID storage answer
This is likely the best built multi-full-height-2.5" drive mounting solution on Amazon. There are others, if you're using nothing but SSDs, but at the price of SAS SSDs versus spinning rust SAS drives, as well as the diminishing redundancy caused by larger capacity drives, this makes a perfect solution for a decent RAID enclosure for one's desktop tower computer. Much less expensive than even many of the 8-drive SAS enclosures meant for smaller SSDs, and made of mostly metal construction versus the other ones out there. Throw in eight enterprise SAS drives of modest (~1.5-2TB) size and you've got a great solution for a RAID 5+0, 6+0 or 1+0 ultra-reliable or ultra-fast large-ish storage bin. Offload all those important files to a 10 or 20TB external drive that you take to off-site locations and you're pretty much covered for data integrity. As you grow and upgrade (who wants to spend $500+ each - that's $4000!!! - on eight 8TB SSDs today?) to large SSDs at a later date when they become more affordable, this enclosure will still work. One can have quite a large, reliable, fast storage bin with eight 4-8TB SSDs - all of which this hardware will accommodate. So far, so good, it looks nice and stays cool. If it continues to work well, I will grab a SAS extender and another one of these enclosures in the near future, as my old tower case has room for exactly one more.

Worth it.
Very easy to setup and reduces wire clutter for my 2.5 inch drives. Also, gives me the ability to add a drive easily without opening the case and unplugging everything. Built quality decent, drive caddies are what you would expect.

I bought 2 of these for a media project and the initial impression is great.
I bought mine from Stores 123 and they came pretty quickly. I have a server that's on 24/7 and I needed these bays for a media project I am working on. We will have laptops with video recorded while we are on expeditions across the country. A device like this makes data transfers much faster so I ordered 2. I had to work to them fit as I have an Aspire Qpack case. This case required me to buy a " SFX " power supply but that's a limit of the case itself. I imagine most cases will house this fine.Pros:USB 3 ports( No idea why but I guess why waste space?)2 sata connections (this rack has a sata for each bay. both bays can be used at the same time)Only requires 1 sata power connector (They wire it in a way that 1 sata power supplies both bays)fitting 2 drives in 1 5.25 bay is awesome.Cons:-The LED lights are insanely bright. I'll be addressing this with tape or some paint so it's not really a huge issue. Not everyone sleeps near their computers. It does feel a little flimsy for the price. I really hope it last because they are making an amazing product. If it's an unreliable piece of garbage, I can't really replace it with a better one.All and all, I would absolutely recommend buying this product. If you have a situation where this bay can be useful, it's worth every penny. Keep in mind, a device like this has so many uses. If you work anywhere near the IT field, having 1 to recover data is a great idea. If you do digital photography or media in the field, you can download to a laptop, and then dump the data when you get back home. All and all, it's a great product.http://www.amazon.com/gp/aag/main/ref=olp_merch_name_4?ie=UTF8&asin=B00834SJ8K&isAmazonFulfilled=0&seller=A3SQ9YFE6CSCS0

Nice little bay
First one ordered arrived in a crashed box, and was damaged. Replacement came in, and I just installed it.I've had problems with some other USB bay devices working with Windows 11 (common with Win 11 ), this one works fine, both drives and USB ports.I didn't read the description thoroughly enough, and thought this had a hot-swappable 2.5" OR 3.5" drive.... it has BOTH. Really well designed. Drives eject and insert effortlessly. You MAY want to check your BIOS or drive properties in partition manager for removable drive optimization to be enabled, so you don't have to click "safely remove usb" every time you pull a drive out.I highly recommend this.

Works great, but be aware
This is a pretty slick little item. The issue i had was when i first installed it neither of my disks would register. I tore this thing apart and manually pushed the SSD into the circuit board and it lit up and functioned properly. I thought at first that the front panel wasn't putting enough pressure to push the drive into the slot but after screwing with it for a while i realized that the SSDs are probably thinner than regular hard drives and it probably wasn't lining up with the pins in the back correctly. I flipped this device upside down so that gravity would put the SSD on the other side of the slot and it functioned properly. So... SSDs are thinner than regular hard drives. Use that info how you will.

Seems purposefully made to not work properly with RAID controllers
The product itself is quite good. If you use it like most people, it will be fine and very worthwhile to allow easy drive replacement. However, if you plan to use it as part of a RAID setup, this is not for you. There is a problem which makes it impossible for this to work reliably in RAID. The drives need to be turned on by way of a button push with 1 button for each corresponding drive bay. Seems fine as afterwards it remembers which drive you've selected. The problem is sometimes it "forgets" because you made a change which, on the surface, has no direct correlation to these bays. As a result, your array has dropped members and is deemed degraded and needs rebuild, or worst it is deemed failed and you've lost everything. Had the manufacturer not implemented this "feature" and simply allowed the drives to function without extra buttons, this would have received 5 stars. As it stands, they complicated this device and made it less reliable. Maybe there's a jumper or some way which can disable this feature? I tried reaching out to Syba but it has been 2 months and still no reply so I'm not holding my breath.

Syba Have a good day. LiberT
Thahk You all the gang, SybaHave a good day.LiberT.P.S. Comme cadeau de la fête des Pères, j'ai demandé un Syba en cadeau,au cas où une de mes unités auraient des problèmes.

Best trayless bay, noisy fan
Very well built. Non-standard 80x80x10mm and non-standard 2-pin connector, powerfull but noisy fan - still looking for replacement. I think with 2.5" HDDs prices falling I will switch to cages for 2.5" drives like this: https://www.amazon.de/Icy-Dock-Wechselrahmen-Zoll-SATA/dp/B01MSFEAQI/
