It would only power the dash cam thru the micro USB. The GPS would not stay operating thru the micro usb.

Added a dashcam to my car and placed it forward of the GPS which is on a permanent bolted mount. Plugged this wire into the power cord for the GPS that I already had installed and plugged the male ends one into the dashcam and one into the GPS. Now when I turn the ignition key on my dashcam and GPS both come alive. The wire appears to be of the same quality and build type as the OEM power cord that came with my GPS.

I knew this type of cable is out there somewhere and finally got it. Connected two different types of dash cameras with a single car charger.

Total piece of Crap

Perfect for powering our navigation tablet and dashcam together off of one power feed (12v) in our vehicle. This way we didn't have to run two separate cables for each device. Perfect!

I use this splitter cable for my new dashcam (too lazy to do the rewiring). It’s been 2 weeks and it’s still working really well.
