Seems to work all right - just install it correctly
I installed this on an '06 Acura. It's exactly the same size as the factory crankshaft seal it replaced. When removing the old seal, it is a lot easier to pull it out when heating it up first with a heat gun then pulling it out with a seal removal tool or, in my case, a paint can lid removal tool from Home Depot (and those are free). Make sure that before you press the seal into place, the mating races are clean and free of debris. After that. it's matter of pressing it into place CAREFULLY and EVENLY. You should be good to go. There's a lot of videos on the internet on how to do that if you need some help.
