It’s hefty yet nicely balanced, and hair-cutting sharp out of the box. Despite a few minor scratches on the blade and some blemishes on the leather sheath, the craftsmanship is impressive. Haven’t got to use it yet, but I can tell this knife not only looks nice, it’s functional as well. I bought a similar, yet more expensive western style bowie knife from a “famous” knife maker, but it was just a Chinese manufactured showpiece.
