Best Classic Bowie For The Money
This is an excellent Bowie knife, styled on the classic Western pattern, at a very reasonable price. Best of all, it's 100% made in the USA. You can find cheaper Bowies, some much cheaper, but made overseas. This Bowie is beautiful, well fit, and very sharp, right out of the box. My only complaint is the sheath. While very well made it is a little tight or short. I own several Bowies and, in my opinion, if you're looking for a classic Bowie this is the best bargain for the money.

Little glue to the crossguard outta fix it
Sharp? YES! Worth it? YEEEEESSSSS!!!! I got this knife for no other reason than i was playing RDR2 and i wanted a western style bowie. Knife is well balanced, fits nicely in the hand, and sharp out of the box (although i recommend giving any blade a touch up out of the box). Only thing i can complain about is the crossguard is ever so slightly loose but oh well. It was bound to get loose if you planned on using it as a real bushcraft knife, can’t really complain about a crossguard being a tiny bit loose when the rest of the knife is spectacular!

Gold Rush Cocobolo Bowie Knife
I got my knife in today (7/8/26). The cocobolo grips are slightly smaller than the tang of the knife but the knife does look good. For the price from Amazon I expected the blemish with the knife. The knife came sharpened which is a plus. Overall I like the knife, the sheath is nice, the quality and appearance is very good. Now on durability I haven't had time to use it yet. If the grips would have fit flush to the tang i would have given it 5 stars. Do I recommend it - for the price, yes, but expect some kind of blemish with it. I am going to purchase the 14 3/4" one but that one I will buy directly from Bear & Son. 0

It's Awesome! Actually Using It.
Awesome knife! I purchased this knife to actually use it. I use knives quite often and this one has been used pretty well for the past week. I've harvested Sugar Cane with it, chopped brush and pruned bushes, and have used it for chopping down Mexican Sunflower, Elephant Grass, and Vetiver Grass for chop-and-drop for our fruit trees. Very sharp edge on the knife and holds the edge very well. Chops through cane like butter. The leather dangler shealth is pretty decent as well. I do wish the leather was thicker, but it works. Overall, I am happy with this knife and it has been working out well in the garden. Looks good on the belt too. People get a little weird at times when they see it hanging off my waist, and wonder why I have a knife this large. Whatever, if you mind your own business, you'll always be busy. Just buy it, wear it, use it, and enjoy it.

The only bowie you need
Good quality bowie. Used it for cutting some saplings while camping. Versatile and made in USA.

Gold Rush Bowie 14.75 in.
This is an excellent utility/fighting knife. I chose this knife because it is made in the USA and I prefer a 9-9.5 inch blade. Ten inch and longer are a little unwieldy for me. They feel more like a machete than a knife. I do have a couple of those. The Bear & Son is a quality field Bowie and was razor sharp out of the box. The hand guard had a very slight bit of play. That bothers some people and I am one of those. I never considered returning it. I am told it is common in this style knife whatever the brand. I taped it off and used a plastic tooth pick to get some Gorilla Glue in there and it is now solid as a rock. Later, to be sure, I cut off a small piece of Mighty Putty and forced it into the spaces around the hand guard. I am a lot happier with this knife than a Pakistan bowie. Glad to support. USA company. I would buy it again.

Made in USA beauty functional razor sharp bowie good size EDC/Every Day Carry my property love it
Exceptionally beautiful knife made in USA from very nice Swedish stainless steel (designed for use in razor blades and knifes). Overall length is almost exact as my Ka-Bar USMC fighting knife (ww2 type) but the handle a little shorter and blade longer. Want to get now their Western W49/v-44(ww2 bowie) style that is almost identical but slightly larger. This sheath is super nice ergonomically I attach it to my belt just forward of the side belt loop making the dangler sheath perfect when sitting down/kneeling/standing or essentially any position. Did I say made in the USA and a beautiful razor sharp knife? Highly recommend the folks at Bear and Son Cutlery. They also had excellent communication when I contacted

Very nice Bowie Knife
The knife is great. Made in USA and with high quality materials and fit and finish. There was a small issue with the knife sheath, it seems I received the used sheath, the leather is worn out at the back top of the sheath and also on the cross guard. I feel disappointed. I buy it for a gift, but I won't be happy to give it as a nice gift. I think I will return it.

Schlecht
