Bought this book for my elderly mother. Beautiful pictures to look at and very entertaining. Great for the coffee table as well.

I will start by saying that I am a staunch supporter of all things National Geographic, but this book falls short. As with any coffee table travel book, there are breathtaking photos and vivid descriptions. However, the book is wildly US-centric. Of the 60 main cities outlined, fully 25% (15) are American cities. As lovely as Asheville, Honolulu, and New Orleans are, do they really outshine the likes of Sevilla, Porto, Lucerne, or Dubrovnik? Certainly not. Rankings are always going to draw criticism, regardless of who makes the cut, but I feel that if the editors of this selection felt so passionately about mostly American cities they could have saved their passions for a separate volume.

Beautiful look, beautiful photos and interesting contents. I like the way cities are described with highlights on the most interesting spots or happenings. It's a gorgeous hard back book to be kept on the table to have the pleasure to go through the pages every time you sit down, but also to allow your guests to be dilighted by it's every page.

The information is set in ways like "best party city" "best water city" ect. The book is a big coffee table book with great pictures. WARNING! After looking at this book you will have the strong desire to quit your job and become a nomad so you can see all these wonderful cities.

The book is in good condition, HOWEVER I was quite disappointed to find that it is laminated and stamped on the inside cover and top as property of the "Greene County Public Library"??? ... wherever that is.There are also multiple other tags and labels with barcodes all over the book and removing the covers will most likely damage the inside. If I had wanted a book marked up as the property of a library, I would have just stolen one from a library. In my opinion, this product was falsely advertised and I plan on returning it.
