Philips AZ215B/12 CD Player, Radio, 3 W - Black

Sorry for delay in response, first class product

I'm very happy with this purchase . The quality of the sound is really impressive . using it manly for playing cd's not radio Its a small cd player in size which is ideal for what I was looking for. Its not heavy but light in weight and easily transportable, very stylish in appearance. Delivery was on time and packaged very well.

Does everything we required however one small complaint is the aerial isn't very receptive our old stereo picked up 2 weaker signal stations (it had a wired aerial) this has an extending metal aerial & doesn't pick up these stations! Would be 5 stars otherwise.

It does not have an ear phone out put, the sound is not bad but it could be better from Philips, the dynamic bass boos also does not make a huge different it is better with it however the plastic sound feeling is getting slightly stronger if you use it.. from Philips you would expect more.. I would say this is not a bad cd player however it is pretty much just a standard at me where a boombox should start from.. it does not worth 56 pounds this is my opnion, about 30 pounds.. i would say it worth..

I have add tremendous enjoyment from similar bass boosted CD players from Philips and needed a replacement. I had seen earlier reviews from Amazon customers who were annoyed by the fact that recent models were being received in the UK with only an EU applicable mains lead. So before selecting and ordering my preferred model, I sought reassurance that the item, priced in UK sterling would have a UK applicable mains plug. For this, I not only checked with Amazon UK (who confirmed this through AI) but also with Philips Customer Service. The product was duly ordered today. Despite all my earlier actions above, it came with an EU mains lead. I am highly unimpressed. I do not propose to keep using 6 R14 batteries as an alternative. So will have to return.

Although CD player was purchased in Australia, it came with a European power point, so we had to purchase an adapter, very inconvenient.
