A Memoir of Vincent van Gogh (Lives of the Artists)

Short but Important
A primary source enabling a unique insight into Vincent Van Gogh. It is somewhat essential in understanding him. Without Jo van Gogh-Bonger and her son Vincent Willem we would not have the letters to Theo nor the paintings.

beautifuly written and printed, what a find!
short and sweet, Jo Van Gogh-Bonger gives a close and very personal view of Vincent's life and struggles. Seems to me that she was not looking at him, but with him even though he had passed over. The printing job the publisher has done is wonderful.

Three Stars
Not much new or original.

Bio with the view of an insider
Lovely little book. Beautiful paintings and a biography with the view of an insider (Vincent's sister-in-law). It is a great keepsake for a lover of a Van Gogh.

Tiny Book
Did not realize this was such a tiny book. Nicely produced, yes; but it's very small format.

Nothing unexpected!
Quite well written and interesting but I have read better books about the life and works of Vincent.
