Because its a poor quality product, mine was the same

Q: Are these pjs loose bottoms?

They are a comfy fit with elastic waist and bottoms

Q: my goddaughter has a 35 inch leg will these be ok

I’m not certain, but I’d say probably not. I’m 5’6” and they’re the right length on me- I’m about 30”
