2 fast pulls and it's broken. There is a clutch mechanism inside (black side. red side is the spring... don't open that) of the spool that clutches when the belt is pulled fast. It locks a plastic ring that has two nubs on it that catch a plastic lever that engage the metal stop against the metal wheel. It's great that the stop and wheel are metal, because that's super strong. However, it doesn't do any good because the nubs that engage the plastic lever break off immediately and the metal never even tries to engage. This happens under normal usage any time the clutch engages and tries to engage the lever, but misses a tooth on the wheel. The belt doesn't stop and the nub tries to pull the lever too far and breaks off. Most other belts work similarly, but if the teeth don't engage on those, the nubs move past the lever to try again on the next go-round without breaking... Design or matierials flaw. On the upside, it shipped super fast from China and I did get two pulls with proper stoppage, so maybe if you get in only one or two minor accidents you'll be OK =].Metal components are a bit thinner than expected (18 gauge for some?). Nothing like an actual automobile safety belt... Not sure what this is for... I guess golf carts?

Now and then the red push plunger gets stuck after i disengage the clasp, so the next time i try to put the belt on i have to fiddle with it to get it to retract back into starting position. other than that, a good enough belt system for what it is, and the spring loaded belt retractor so far has worked fine.(I replaced a stock 1983 Ford Econoline belt system which the spring had finally worn out on both sides and my sealtbelts just dangled)

It quality is good the length could be better but all around it's a good product
