These work so well. Our tank Humidifier lets us know when we need to put new filters in (CF)We hardly ever have to change these. They clean the water very well. Of course we use antibacterial in the water.But these filters are amazing.

I live in the Midwest, and during the winter the air here gets really dry. I picked up a consol humidifier a few years back from a big chain home improvement store. I was figuring I could also get the filters from the store in the years to come. The following year when I went in to get filters for it, they were no where to be found. I was really disappointed. However I was able to find the HDC-12 type filters on Amazon and purchase them that way. They were even cheaper than anything in the store. I use water treatment in my humidifier too, and with that I can make one set of filters last the whole winter season (usually anyway, I do check to make sure they have not turned completely crusty). I found these filters purchased on Amazon to be the same quality as what I originally purchased in store. To me they make a world of difference. Without a humidifier I wake up with sore throats and sinus problems all winter. Running the humidifier solves all these problems. I highly recommend if you live in an areas were you have to run the furnace extensively in the winter.

These replacement filters are better than the original ones sold by Sears. After reading some reviews that stated they didn't work as well as the original filters I was reluctant to try them, but I'm glad I did. These filters are much more durable than the folded paper ones. And as far as putting humidity into the air I don't see that there is any difference; I am filling up my water bottles at the same rate as before. I live in the north, so on warmer days during the winter months my furnace doesn't kick on as frequently and the radiators don't dry out the air as quickly. Therefore it is easier for the humidifier to maintain the relative humidity in the house. On very cold days (especially when it is below 0 Degrees F), the furnace kicks on quite a bit, the air is drier and the humidifier has a harder time keeping up. That's going to be true no matter which type of filter you happen to be using.Although it is recommended to change the filters each month, I usually leave these filters in for two months before changing them, sometimes longer. I add a small amount of BestAir Humidifier Bacteriostatic Algae & Odor Water Treatment (comes in a green bottle) to each container of water and I have not had any problems over the last 3 years. I use these filters both at home and at my place of business and I recommend them. In fact, I am awaiting shipment of two sets of them to replace the filters as I write this. Hope this helps.

Nothing exotic here. If you have a hot air heating system, you need humidification during the heating season to prevent the hot air from drying out all the furniture in your home. Years ago when I owned a home, I added an automatic humidifier to the plenum, and it worked well. I now own a manufactured home - single floor with a downdraft heating system. Since the home is not that large. I use a humidifier that adds moisture to the house air to combat the drying effect of the heat. The one key point of maintenance to get the desired results is to change the filters once or twice every heating season. These are paper filters that are relatively easy to change, but are absolutely necessary if you want the humidifier to do its job.

I have a rather older Sears Kenmore humidifier and the availability of these is key.

Went to purchase replacement filters for my humidifier and found the AIRCARE HDC12 replacements that I had previously purchased had more than doubled in price!! So with some more research on available choices, bought these instead. They fit tighter and better that the previous ones and they have antibacterial control as well as a foil type reinforcement layer. Better design, better quality. Good replacement filter for my unit.

These filters fit my Kenmore cabinet humidifier and work very well. They are getting harder to find in Canada so I ordered these. They took a long time to get here from the USA as do most things these days. I will order another set sooner rather than waiting until I actually need them just to have them on hand.

BestAir ES12 Replacement Wick Filter. With Sears gone, it's getting harder and harder to find filters for the Kenmore humidifier we own. The first wick we bought is almost three times the price of this one. This was a considerably more budget friendly alternative. That said, these have also gone up a few bucks since I purchased them.Took a little work to them to fit, but they do, and they work. It's pretty much all you can hope for at this point.

Don't use the cheaper paper kind that stop wicking because they collapse. These are the metal reinforced ones and last longer. They just work well. We have tried others but came back to these.
