I love this mug and warmer, they work wonderfully and keep my beverage at the exact temperature that I like it! I enjoy drinking hot tea in the cold of winter but hate that it gets cold too quickly, so I love that you can really dial-in the temperature that you want and that the mug itself does not heat up so much as to burn your lip when you drink from it (although I have found that sometimes when the warmer is still warming up, the cup is a bit hotter and later it cools but the liquid remains hot) - I'm able to keep my tea hot until the last drop, so even when it takes me 45 minutes to finish a cup of tea, I'm still able to enjoy the whole thing. The handle and sleeve are the perfect shape and size for my large hands and the light weight of the mug makes it comfortable to use. I even just bought a second warmer so that I could keep one in my bedroom and one in my office and 2 more mugs so that I could more easily rotate them and clean them less often (they are not recommended for the dishwasher, but I put it in there anyway). There are two negatives - the warmer itself does give off a slight electrical smell, even when it is off and once I noticed that the plate was hot even though the button indicated that it was off and I had not had it on for 24 hours. This is a concern since I'd rather not burn down my house or have my pets accidentally burn themselves, so I just unplug it when I know I won't be around for a few hours, just in case - probably the safest thing to do anyway! I am overall VERY happy with my purchase!

I can't think of a way to improve on this mug warmer and mug set. It works perfectly. I can set the warmer's temperature, and if I use the included mug, I can rely upon it to keep my tea within 1 degree of that. (I haven't tried it with other mugs.) Others have warned against putting your lips on the mug's metal rim immediately after filling it with a hot liquid, and I found that to be good advice. But, in the time it takes me to get settled at my computer, the rim is a nice temperature and stays that way throughout use. I wouldn't mind a longer cord, but this one does reach the nearby outlet. The mug's handle is easy to grab and hold, and doesn't get hot, and the wide textured band on the body of the mug adds another easy-to-grab and hold feature. The only change I might put into my new hot tea routine is to buy more of the mugs.

I’ve been so stuck on the Mr. Coffee basic mug warmer, for melting and blending and creating my own altnoid (CBD, CBG, CBC, CBN, CBDV, etc) oil infusions & emulsions (“tinctures”), just as well as making concentrates into vapable safe distillates for putting into 510 carts, disposable devices, etc. I formulate so many of these items, that a mug warmer is always on my coffee table, which is somewhat of a hideaway discreet workstation for such. Until recently, I’ve been stuck on the Mr. Coffee mug warmer, despite no digital display or temp control, due to its ability to heat up to an adequate temperature — unlike most “mug warmers” / “candle warmers,” which don’t typically heat to the desired temperature (or have something unnecessary and inconvenient for this application, e.g. “auto-off when removing cup” or “only turns on when cup is detected” — which disrupts the even heating temperature from being maintained). But after trying this I feel like I’ve made a move from an Atari game machine to a PlayStation 5. The technological advancement of this specific mug warmer is so unique, despite being common sense design for a heating plate this size, is worth every penny, and then some. For those who use these items for such indication, and rely on them for such (and I know plenty of people utilize this method for blending their distillates or concentrates to make their own safely transparently composed solutions), this is absolutely the only warmer I’ve found on Amazon (as of Dec 2023) which actually has all of the following desirable boxes checked, all of which are pros: • having no need for auto-detection / no auto-off when weight is removed / no weight required for heating, but instead, just works when turned on, and stays on until turned off, or until an unreasonable amount of time has passed — many hours, for safety precautions. • digital display of precise temperature down to the Fahrenheit degree, and perfect maintenance of that temperature, with such smooth touch-interface that makes it possible to pick the absolute perfect temperature for the compound being melted. • heat that goes up to 230 F, which tops the Mr. Coffee basic mug warmer that previously was all I could find to go above (or reach) 200 F on the surface, reliably. • no separation between heating element and borders of device (albeit borders do not get hot to the point of it being impossible to move from the bottom, if necessary), which means no cracking plastic edge like with Mr. Coffee, which has such little heat resistance on the sides that it results in a fire hazard, which has always been my reason for replacing it — whereas this one will actually last, and is so easy to wipe off (oils often being what can break the Mr. Coffee mug warmer, because it essentially results in a sort of grease heating pad if anything is spilled), making it so easy to wipe off, one smooth surface, no cheap materials whatsoever. Serious quality. • it is so sleek, so easy on the eyes, so streamlined & built in such a seamless way, that it makes me have no reservations when leaving it out on my coffee table, since it doesn’t look like a chemistry lab, nor does it create a mess of any sort. And again, it doesn’t crack on the sides from the heating element, because of the quality materials. It is so trustworthy. • did I mention sturdy design and parts? • this price is insane for the digital display and the degree of heating (going above most all mug warmers, making it ideal for formulating distillates), that I have no regrets — also the included mug can be optionally used, for the same indication of melting and blending distillates — by acting as a double boiler of sorts, if putting water in it and then using a separate container inside the mug — resulting in resistance to overheating as well as (with the cap) the ability to heat small jars / containers much greater safely and evenly by adding a layer of insulation. This just isn’t all included in any other product, and this is ideal for blending, melting down, and safely controlling temperature, while safely utilizing it for the indication mentioned, having no worries about spills, easy to clean, perfect heating temperature customization, no need for weight on it to make it work, literally cannot ask for more. I don’t know how this could be improved, for the manner in which I utilize it, since…I have no issues, whatsoever. In fact I was amazed it was as seamless as it appeared on the product page. Especially for the price. I seriously have no doubts this is going to last a very long time. This is as reliable and customizable as it gets.

The mug warmer works great. It has a simple interface, remembers your last temperature setting, and runs off 12VDC from either the included AC/DC adapter or from a 12V battery typically found in Solar Power setups and solar generators. The temperature setting is simply the temperature of the heating plate, so it has a very loose relationship with the actual temperature of the tea/coffee/re-hydrated emergency food that you may have put in the cup. Because the warmer is only 24 watts, it will take about a half hour to warm up water to a point where it's hot enough to reconstitute a freeze dried meal or to make hot cocoa. In an emergency situation where you've run out of propane for your pocket stove, this is an excellent alternative. I pair mine with the Voltaic Systems V88 that can store up the sun's rays for hours and then deliver them as needed to this warmer. The mug that's included with this mug warmer is a single layer of non-magnetic stainless steel with a rubber-like insulating ring glued on. The mug's design oozes heat, causing it to take about a half hour to warm up cool liquids. Because of the way heat transfer works with the mug, you'll need to set the temperature to about 180 degrees to keep already hot liquid at about 110 degrees at indoor 75 degree F temps. Putting a mug cozy around the mug significantly improves the rate at which the mug warmer can warm and reduces the energy needed to retain the warmth. Because the rim of the mug is stainless steel, it quickly transfers heat to your lips. So if the liquid is above 120 degrees F, the rim will be the exact same temperature and quickly burn you. The mug would need to be redesigned to provide a lower heat conductive material on the rim. A view of a tear down of the Yeti mug can provide some inspiration. It uses a variety of different materials to simultaneously keep the contents warm while reducing the burning risk. The key change would be to eliminate the gap between inner and outer layers at the bottom so that a mug warmer could warm the contents. Due to the mug's burning tendency, I suggest that you don't use this mug warmer to keep your liquids hot, but instead passably warm. For food re-hydration, the mug's design isn't so much of a problem because there's the cooling passage of time between when your fork scoops up the breakfast scramble goodness and when it enters your mouth. I highly recommend this product for emergency disaster use as a fuel-free back-up.

This item keeps my coffee hot. No cold coffee at the end of your cup. Really great product.

Pros: - Heats up great as long as you use the cup provided. - Stainless Steel, easy to clean and sanitary - Easy to use, literally just 3 buttons, power, temp up and temp down. - Good Size Cup, I make 12oz of coffee every morning and this cup is perfect for it. - Cover with a spoon slot to keep your drink covered from things falling in and keeping the heat in. Cons: - Cup gets hot so be careful - Base is kind of big, so make sure you have room - Heating Surface gets hot and stays hot unless you turn off the base. Best way I found that works for me, is as a heater (kind of like a microwave), not as a leave on all the time to keep warm. Meaning that I turn it off when my coffee is warm enough and turn it back on when I need to heat it. This is the way I found that works best so the cup and coffee doesn't get too hot and I don't burn my lips and I personally have my temp set to max hot because of this. So the coffee will heat up faster to the temp I want and turn if off to cool the cup a bit before drinking again. I am a person that easily gets distracted at work and pulled in so many directions I end up leaving my coffee alone and it gets cold so I don't get to finish it right away. I figured out the way that best works for me instead of having to make consent trips to the microwave, which I don't even have the time to do as well because of meetings and projects I have going on. Being able to heat back up my drink at my desk helps in these situations and instead of having to throw out my coffee because it got cold and I didn't get to reheat it at the end of the day, I can now reheat it at my desk and actually finish it.

Great warmer as long as you are using the cup it came with. I read other reviews before purchasing because I needed it to be versatile and heat other mugs as I drink a ton of coffee. It does NOT, I repeat does NOT heat any other mug. I have tried every shape and size and it doesn’t work on them.
