IF YOU ARE THINKING AOBUT IT - I SAY GO FOR IT! YOU WILL LOVE IT! TREAT YOURSELF! #ohhappyday
If there was a 4 1/2 star option that is what I would truly give it because of the few things I find wrong with the sauna. However, that being said 5 BIG STARS is what I will give it!!!My sauna arrived faster than I thought it would. The driver actually made sure the pallet was as close as he could get it to the garage doors. So right from the beginning this seemed to be a great experience. We joked around a bit regarding how he could use a sauna after his hard day of delivering heavy cartons all over CT and other states close by and I offer him a free sauna if he would help me build it! Of course he passed on the idea and went on his way and I had a shit eating grin on my face looking at the three boxes that contained one of the things I had on my bucket list for so long and it finally could be checked off. I could have waited for my son to help me bring it all in the house to the spot I was going to put it but I could just not wait for 6 hours to go by so I decided I would open the boxes one at a time and carry each piece in by myself. After I got them all in I took out the (EASY) to follow directions and started to build my bucket list sauna. The directions we clear as a bell and I truly have time with following directions because for some reason I find most are written so poorly. After reading negative reviews about the instructions difficult to follow I found that not to be the case for me and I know it may be difficult to believe it but I built the whole thing all by myself! Some of the pieces were a bit heavy and I am a small guy only 5'7" and 165lbs. but I managed by myself. The door was the hardest to carry alone but even that I managed to do. I think I wanted it so bad I had the adrenaline rush thing going on!!! I do remember somewhere reading that you do not need tools to build this sauna however that is not the case you do need two and they are a screwdriver both flat and phillips and that is it!!! True story. It clips together and lines up really good. Yes I have read the reviews where things did not line-up but this is my review and they did. After it was all built I cleaned up and wiped down both the inside and outside with a slightly damp cloth. There was a tiny bit of saw dust on some of the pieces so I would recommend having a vacuum at hand just to clean it up as you go along. It is minimal but I didn't want to track it all over the house. Now for the test - plug it in and turn it on, crossed my fingers and said a Hail Mary that it heated up and worked correctly and VOILA it did!!! Oh happy day!!! Very happy day! #ohhappydayThe control panel has:Power on/off button - High/low setting either in F or C - Timer from 1 min. to 59 mins. There is a light switch with a small light just over the control panel more so you can see the panel rather than for seeing in the sauna itself as you would really not be able to read very well with just this light. And there is an USB cable so you can attach your mobile device and listen to the music or what ever you choose that will come from the two speakers on each side of the light socket* with a small platform for you to rest your mobile device on. There is also a cable to the right of the control panel for you to add the Oxygen Ionizer if you choose to add this at a later date or when you purchase your sauna I decided to wait on this and would use it as a treat for a later date. There is also a socket* for the Chromotherapy Light if you want to purchase that extra as well. Again I decided I would add these features at a later date. However, I did purchase the set of backrests for my sauna and I am so glad I did. They also work great! I would suggest you do a search for these as the prices are all over the place and I actually found them listed on Ebay at a seller for only $42.00/set with FREE shipping. I love them as they fit the small of my back just perfect and besides they really look cool when in place. So because I liked them so much I decided to purchase the Neck Rests as well and purchased them on the JNH website as I found them to be the lowest price there. However, don't be in a rush and shop around for better deals if you can find them. That is what I did and my search efforts brought me to purchase from those I stated above however you may do better with your own search. Also if you see the sauna somewhere else for a lower price call JNH and tell them and they will look it up and meet the price for you! I think this company is GREAT!!!My first experience was wonderful as well as all to follow since I purchased my sauna and if you are on the edge of if you should or shouldn't I would suggest you GO FOR IT. I truly don't think you will regret it.My PROS are listed in the review and my CONS are as follows:1. There is no weather stripping around the door to seal the hot air in place.2. My control panel is slightly off center (this is my OCD kicking in place)3. I feel the heater under the seat could be longer to provide more heat down there. There is room enough for the company to make a panel about 6" - 8" longer and I think it would make a difference. It's not cold by all means but I understand what the others are saying in their reviews regarding a cold spot at the floor level. If the company builds a longer panel for that section I would have no problem in purchasing it to up grade the level of heat down there.4. I have an Iphone and the phone heated up too much and would not allow the music to play for more than 30 min. as it said "the phone needed to cool down. This is not a fault of the sauna it's just too much heat for the phone. However, I was able to remedy that problem by reversing my roof panel of the sauna an putting the air vents to the back instead of the front and I feed the cable through the airvent to the outside of the sauna and now I can listen all day if I wanted to without the phone over heating. And you don't loose heat with through the vent being open as you can close it just to the cord and the opening is so small that I doubt you are loosing but a bit of heat. Perhaps JHN willl feed the cord through the sauna in a different place so this won't have to be done for future customers.5. NOTHING MORE AT THIS TIME - NOT TO SAY IT'S NOT GOING TO CHANGE DOWN THE LINE BUT RIGHT NOW THE CONS ARE SO MINOR. THEREFORE THE 4 1/2 STAR STATEMENT AT THE BEGINNING OF MY REVIEW.I called JNH and told them my concerns and spoke with a few different people. EVERYONE was just wonderful to speak with and all are concerned that the customer is realy happy and taken care of. I mean they really care and listen to what you have to say. For the few of you that have stated that costomer service is bad - WHAT THE HECK ARE YOU TALKINNG ABOUT??? They were great to me and cared about what I have to say. Of course there are those that no matter what in life happens to them have to complain and have a fit over the slightest thing and call up so upset that they treat the person at the other end like s--- so what do you expect??? No one should have to listen to someone being out of control no matter what the problem. Sometimes we forget that that person did not make the product themselves, they didn't do it to you, they are there to help you and listen to your concerns and try to make things right for you. All the yelling and meaness in the world will NOT get you anywhere. They are doing the best they can and I get your fustrations when things you pay a lot for are either broken or not working correctly. It's a bummer yes, but they personally did not do it to you so give them a break and hold your cool and explain the problem with kindness toward them and I am sure you will get a lot more from your complaint/s. I personally had all good experiences and Alex gave me the best customer service possible. He not only was kind and curitious but he truly listend to my concerns I stated in a kind and nice manner and therefore I assure you I was well taken care of. THANK YOU! Alex you are truly an asset to the JNH company and I only hope they reconize you for it.If things change over time I will update my review but for now I am a happy camper with another bucket list item checked off before I leave this part of lifes journey. #ohhappyday.PLEASE note that this review is for the JNH Lifestyles Joyous 2 person infrared sauna and not any other saunas in the JHN collection.

Love it but be aware of these few things......
This is a PERFECT entry into the infrared sauna world. If you read all of the reviews you get a pretty good idea of exactly what this is all about but I will do my best to review as objectively as possible. As a matter of fact, if possible I would have lowered to 4.5 stars as I think 5 might be too high for the little things I will get into but 4 was too low because they are little things. The sauna us a "dry" heat and therefore you do not start to sweat for a few minutes after you enter the box. It is comfortable for one person and two could be in together if they are not of the larger variety. That having been said the LAST THING I would want to do is touch another person while I am detoxing and hot and sweaty. The delivery was exactly on the day expected and even earlier than the window scheduled. They brought the 3 boxes into my living room and left them there. Unfortunately for me, I was installing it upstairs so I needed to carry the items upstairs myself. This task took longer than actual assembly. The glass door is very heave and not recommended for one person to move. After I got all of the pieces upstairs I studied the instructions. First negative point is the INSTRUCTIONS SUCK. Anyone with any experience could figure it out but because the instructions are so bad, they seem to contradict common sense. Most of it was easy as there are latches that "suck" the tongue and groove panels into place but be aware that if they are not perfectly lined up, they will not latch properly. One other issue is with the heater control box. Make sure all of the long cords are facing the back when installing. Again, this seems like common sense but the picture on my instructions seemed to show that it should be the other way. Didn't take too long to figure out that that was incorrect. The only other issue I had is with the bench. It secures with L brackets and is not the most sturdy. This is again, a small issue but when shifting positions the bench clearly moves and makes noise. The temperature and time controls are simple to use. There is an ionizer cable that I have NOT used. The speakers are average at best and although you can supposedly take a smartphone or Ipad in the unit I found them to get extremely hot and think that CAN'T be good for them. I have found that if you place your phone on the roof with the speaker right on the vent, you can hear the phone perfectly. Of course people outside the unit can now here the music too so that is not that good but I am not blasting music while I am in the unit anyway. There is a chromatherapy light socket but be aware of the fact that according to JNH only their bulb is compatible. I did order one from Amazon for a fraction of the price but it did not work. Thir bulb is 150 (75 for the holiday sale) and I will not pay that for it. I prefer the dark. There is a small LED reading light that gives off more than enough light in the unit.Once installed the box is ready to go. Mine is in a walk in closet and not a very cold room, but it takes at least 25-35 minutes to reach 140 (my preferred temp). The bench is plenty wide. in both directions but understand without a backrest or neck rest (both after purchases) you cannot lean back against the heating units so you need to sit right in the middle unless the back rest or neck rest is purchased (packs of 2). All of these amount to really small inconveniences that don't really add up to much. I love the Shvitz (Yiddish for sweat) and knowing I am detoxing. I am very happy with this purchase and if I had the space, would definitely have gotten a larger unit.Pro's:Footprint is not that bigEasy to assemble in spite of the directionsUnit is easy to use and the heat is consistent throughout the timed sessionPrice for the quality is very goodUnit runs on a regular residential outlet. No upgrade necessary.Cons:Instructions suckbench installation is a little ricketybeing comfortable against the heaters will require additional purchase of either the neck rest or back rest (or both)Using the chromatherapy light socket is proprietary and requires the purchase of their bulb (according to their customer service).

Not a good investment.
This is a terrible purchase don’t do it. You have to buy additional parts to get the red light which is another thousand dollars. This is not shared in the Amazon listing. The Bluetooth does not work.About 30 minutes and the sound will automatically start turning itself down and you have to sit and wait for it to turn itself all the way down and then turn it back up. It’s not consistent at the temperature is constantly changing internally. I have customer support and they said that it’s not built to maintain a consistent temperature.Really outdated not at all what I expected.
