I have worn glasses since I was a teenager and I switched to contacts in my 20's. I wore contacts for over 15 years, then my fibromyalgia got bad and I had trouble with my hands and fingers doing what I wanted them to do and couldn't get my contacts in because I couldn't keep my eyes open and my fingers wouldn't work right to hold my lids open to get the contact in. I saw this set while browsing and thought it would be exactly what I needed to be able to wear contacts again. When the package arrived, I opened it up and tested the eye opener clamp, which is similar to an eyelash clamp. I was able to use it with one hand to get both lids open and keep my eyelids from closing. It also has tweezers to get the lens out of the lens pack or to open the lens if it has folded on itself. Then I used the suction cup to hold the contact in the proper position so I could insert the contact on my eye. I have owned and used the suction cups before and they are so useful. I can say without a doubt that it worked just as well as my old one did. It includes a contact lens case that has silicone seals to keep the lenses sealed in the solution and keeps it from leaking, but the case has room for the tweezers and the suction cup too. The material is a solid metal. It feels and looks good and is as solid and sturdy as any I have seen. They look good with matching Teal silicone areas. The entire set was easy to use and the whole kit is pretty portable in the round container that fit in my fairly large purse. If you are only concerned with having to tske your contacts out fir some reason, then you only need the lens case with the tweezers and suction cup, and that fits in pretty much any purse or pocket. The price is decent and overall I would recommend this tool set. I took a pic of my hubby using the lid holder tool so that you can see how well it works.

I haven’t worn contact lenses in a long time, so I thought this contact lens applicator kit might make inserting and removing them easier. The kit itself is fairly comprehensive and includes a contact lens applicator tool, mini tweezers, a suction cup tool, and a contact lens case. I first tried using the tweezers to pick up a lens and place it onto the suction cup tool before inserting it into my eye. While I used my fingers to hold my eyelids open, I found it difficult to stabilize the lens at the end of the rod. Even though inserting contacts with my fingers can feel slightly uncomfortable, using a rod with a suction cup near my eye felt even less natural. After several attempts, I came close once, but ultimately I was able to insert the lens much faster using just my fingers. Removing the lens with the suction cup tool was even less successful. The suction cup tip is not firmly attached to the rod, and it detached every time I tried to use it to remove a contact lens. Again, using my fingers worked much better. I also tried the contact lens applicator tool that resembles an eyelash applicator with cushioned ends. Unfortunately, instead of helping pull my upper and lower eyelids apart, it mostly held them in place, which made inserting or removing the lens impossible. I can see this toolkit potentially being helpful for people with long nails if they are willing to spend time learning how to use the tools effectively. For me, though, the tools felt cumbersome and less practical than simply using my fingers.

This lens applicator tool kit is a life saver. I just started using hard contact lenses and the effectiveness of this kit is superb. Everything is easy to use. This kit is small and compact that it will fit in your purse or bag easily. I love the fact that everything I use daily can be stored in the container. Overall, this is a great value for the price.

I finally picked this up and it’s a total game changer! If you struggle with putting in contacts or have longer nails that get in the way, you definitely need this. It makes the whole process way less frustrating and feels super safe and gentle on the eyes. Plus, it comes with a handy storage box that’s perfect for tossing in your bag. For the price, it saves so much time in the morning, highly recommend!
