Easy install, Great kit, Highly Recommend.
I had the Painless (PITA) system on my Jeep Wrangler. It was a bear to install, confusing, and failed on me. After I broke it, I found this one. Installed last night. Took all of 45 min. Works well. The display is a nice touch and provides the information I wanted to know. All in all, a great kit. Comes with EVERYTHING but the batteries. Well thought out. Would reccomend.

Absolutely no technical, warrenty or service support.
I purchased this dual battery system for my 1990 Land Rover Defender to run accessories while overlanding and for running a webasto heater during the winter. After installing I noticed that my batteries were always equally low in the morning. I thought perhaps I had wired something wrong or I had a bad battery. So I had the checked and went over all my wiring. Everything checked out ok and I had the batteries charged. I went away for 3 days and came back to two dead batteries, one with a bad cell now. So I got a new battery hoping it was an overlooked bad cell. Nope the solinoid was draining power from both batteries rather than going dormant. So I contacted the manufacturer listed from amazon to try to get it sorted. I can not believe how awful customer service was! After being bounced around via rma I was told that I had to call in a different center for help. When I called and informed them I purchased from Amazon they told me I would have to deal with amazon. I asked if they were the warranty center and they said yes but they had “no idea what I ordered because I couldn’t give them an order number from their website”. I said I would gladly tell them what I ordered....long story slightly shorter, I returned the unit to amazon and will be using another manufacturer. Please note this was an/the “autorized warrenty center”. I was told (before she asked what my product was) that I had to send my “Warn Winch in for service with a note about what was wrong with it”. Wow!! When I told her what it really was she said she had never heard of it. What I learned, I also may be looking at other winch manufacturers also. I wanted to Lomé this product, I needed this product to work. I don’t look forward to removing my seat and wrestling with two big batteries to remove all the wiring I painstakingly installed for this product. Finally I wish I was able to find good customer service to fix what is likely a very simple issue and go about my day and on to the next project. Buyers beware, it may work, but if it doesn’t no one cares. Thankfully no one but Amazon, that’s why I trust purchasing just about anything here.

Better than many battery isolators, but I am not sure if the Manual Link can handle 250 amps through the provided 6 AWG wire.
Great design - need to confirm functionality.

Great Product
Installed on my 1997 holiday rambler vacationer. Works great. Charges batteries from the alternator and also charges from the rear battery charger. Alternator went out and i started my generator and charged the from battery from the rear forcing the batteries together. Got home 500 miles with no alternator. Great produc

I've bought two of these because I liked them so much
I've bought two of these because I liked them so much. Installed of both of my rigs. However one of them failed in a few months. The isolator included is garbage and burned out. I bought a better 500amp isolator on amazon and using that now. You're pretty much paying for the battery monitor at this price. This kit is still decent for the price but don't expect the cheap isolator to last long. It's still a cheaper alternative then buying one of the name brand dual battery kits.

Better products out there in the same price range.
I purchased this some time ago but am just installed it recently. The quality of components are questionable. There are simpler solutions available for the same price range. Consider the Samlex Automatic Charge Isolator instead. Model ACR-160.(available on Amazon) Higher amp rating. Simpler wiring requirements. Same capability. More robust component. I only recently became aware of Samlex and would use the ACR-160 if I had not already purchased the T-MAX.

Dual battery setup for offroad vehicle
I have a Nissan truck that is setup primarily for offroading. I have an Optima Blue top in the original battery tray location, and installed a secondary Kirkland battery from Costco in the bed of the truck. Usually the secondary battery has no loads off of it, it's only used as a backup. But in my situation, I needed to have the secondary battery used to power some of the loads in the rear of the truck;1. 12,000lb electric winch2. Anderson connector for jumper cablesThis battery isolator/combiner is smart enough to know when to parallel the second battery (to allow the alternator to recharge it). If the voltage is above 13.5V (for more than 30 seconds), then it will parallel them. If the voltage drops below 13.5V for more than 30 seconds, then the relay will isolate the two batteries. You can also force the two batteries to be in parallel for 30 minutes at a time with a simple push of a button.

Great kit
This is a great kit and comes with everything needed for the install. The battery cable included is 6 awg stranded and comes without connectors attached for a perfectly customized installation. You will need to solder all wire terminations to the appropriate wire. If you can't or don't know how to solder, find a friend that does or you'll have to spend extra money to purchase pre-made cables once you have the proper measurements from your installation.
