Yummy
I gave this nut butter 5 stars across the board. The taste is delicious. I bought the sea salt version. It does come with the oil separated from the ground pecan part, common for natural nut butters but it easily stirs in unlike most almond butters I have had. It does seem to be a thinner consistency than peanut and almond butters so you can’t put it on bread too thick or it drips. In other reviews people talk about bitter taste. This is my 3rd jar and all 3 have been sweet with zero bitterness. I did have 1 jar that was not sealed tight and all the oil leaked into the plastic bag it came in. As for the price, well it is a bit pricy but I feel it is inline with other brands of pecan butter if not a bit less expensive. All in all I have been very happy with this product and wonder why it took so many years to learn of this deliciousness!!!

Wow, this stuff is delicious. And addicting. I've gotta buy more!
I like nut butters and have never tried pecan butter, so I ordered this to try it. I am glad I did. This stuff has a deep, roasted taste to it, not salty at all, almost sweet but I don't think there is any added sugar. So I tried a little on a knife, and then smeared on a slice of toasted seed bread. Awesome. Two things to note: First, this stuff is very dark and muddy looking, much darker than a commercial peanut butter. Second, it's not homogenized, so there is a layer of thinner oily stuff on top, and thicker on the bottom. Just like a natural tahini. Now, the flavor is awesome, I was gonna make a pecan butter and jelly sandwich but you really don't need the jelly or anything to distract from the flavor of this stuff. You could probably make all kinds of deserts with this, but it tastes so good by itself you don't need to. I am going to buy at lease another jar. This is expensive but it is worth it.

Purely Pecans spread
I’ve been buying nut spreads made by this company for awhile and this one is really good. I like the fact that they don’t contain sugar. The only down side is that it has to be stirred quite a bit because it separates. Also they are a little pricey but I like the taste of them so much. They go great on waffles.

Tasty pecan flavor, could do without hard shell bits
I had already made a switch from peanut to almond butter due to a diet I was on - I LOVE peanut butter, and frequently eat scoops of it right off a spoon as a snack - now do that with "alt" nut butters. Due to switch to almond I was already used to the higher price/smaller size, stirring required, and less smooth/less sweet texture/taste. On current diet, couldn't use almond butter either so decided to try pecan. I ordered 2 different brands to try (see picture). The Purely Pecan (with sea salt) is the first one I tried.Pros:. Very easy to stir! Good consistency - pretty smooth, not too thick or too runny (stays on my spoon for a nice spoonful). The pecan flavor with a hint of salt is tasty but not overwhelming.Cons:. Definitely taste the bitterness of the peripheral parts of the pecan. What I dislike more than that though are the really hard grainy bits of what could only be some of the shell. The butter itself is a really nice texture so those hard shell bits really detract from the eating experience.Comparison:. I stirred/tasted the other one in the picture (We're Nuts, also with sea salt) to compare. First you can see that the Purely Pecan color is much darker (could that be from the shell/exterior pieces in there?). We're Nuts jar was REALLY full so kind of hard to stir without spilling over. But the texture was much smoother and no hard shell bits, at least in the first bites. However, I do like the flavor of the Purely Pecan a bit better, the We're Nuts is a little bland. Both have the bitterness undertones.Overall it's a good go-to for when I need a replacement for my spoonful of peanut butter to tide me over!

Bitter Pecan Paste
If you know anything about pecans, then you know you have to separate the edible part from the dark reddish bitter part of the nut. I've seen the reviews talking about how good this is, and either I got a bad batch, or this stuff is nasty. It would taste fine if they didn't leave the bitter part of the nut in when they ground it up. If you don't know, the bitter part is a numbing gross tasting part of the pecan and that's all I taste on it's face and then my mouth goes numb. I taste the pecan after, but it's impossible to eat and enjoy between the bitter taste, and the after taste it leaves, you can't even enjoy the pecan. I can't send it back to get it replaced to see if it was just this batch, and it's to expensive to throw money at for some gross stuff that's gonna get trashed. I'd try another brand which is what I'm gonna do. And the rest of these people are either crazy, liars, or got a completely different product than I got. Thank you

Absolutely delicious!
This stuff is AMAZING. Put it on a piece of toast and it makes it a much healthier cinnamon toast crunch! This brand has less sugar and other similar products at the store, which is great (though none would be best)! It is pricey, and a little thin and soupy (I pour off the extra oil that separates on top and that helps). Otherwise, I love this stuff so much! Highly recommend!

Great taste, but thin consistency
This pecan butter is delicious. Very, very tasty. That's the good news. I found it on the runny side as nut butters go, though. Not watery or oily, but it's thin enough to the point where it just won't stay put, and this was after stirring thoroughly and refrigerating.I suppose this isn't entirely unforgivable, as natural nut butters tend to thin out very quickly once they release their oil, and so there's a very small window between where you should stop grinding and where you'd need some sort of thickener or stabilizing additive to get around the issue.Basically, despite being full of flavor, this is far from perfect if you're looking for a spreadable butter in particular.Edit: Now I see other reviews showing clumpy/drier textures, totally the opposite of my experience. Which to me spells not knowing what you’ll get when you buy this brand.
