VERY GOOD CHESS TEACHING RESOURCE
This book should be used after his book called Checkmate, More Chessercizes. The author did a great job as usual, have most of his books and used for decades reading them over and over. I have books written by Elliot Neff, Silman, Dunn, Fischer, Heisman, Giannatos, Nunn, Coakley, Bazdwick, Hanauer, Polgar, Schlos, Firmian, Fine, Casablanca, and Seirawan. Bruce Pandolfini books have been the easiest to follow. All the books I have had a few obvious errors in the answer sections like checking or mating with a piece not even on the board, finding such errors tell me my awareness has improved. I have learned from all these teacher authors sometimes the same as from all of them and some unique from the individuals, which is why I read books from more than one GM author and there was even a book written by an average player that taught me a few things. There was a good movie called Searching for Bobby Fischer and in that movie Josh Waitskin had two teachers, Bruce Pandolfini and a speed check player in Central Park. He also learned positive and negative life events from his parents. Elliot Neff is a great teacher at applying chess to life events and Vic versa. My example, I installed a flower water fountain to the return of my above ground swimming pool to control the temperature of the water. One morning, I went outside and the pool pump was shut down. After checking everything out, there was no pool water in the skimmer, just a dead bird. The fountain was pushed towards the outside of the pool which is why the water level was below the skimmer. The pump motor was burned out. Life lesson. I installed the fountain to lower the temperature which ended up killing a bird that flew into it and drowned in the pool, draining the water out of the pool and flooding the ground around the pool, and burning out a $400 pump motor. Figure out how Chess Moves apply. What was my bad move? At this level, use a chessboard for better board perception.

Excercise your chess
Easy read. I love Buce Pandofini books, they're easily understood and uncluttered with excess symbols.

The explanations are excellent!
This book is VERY difficult......So, it's better to begin with "More Chessercizes: checkmate!".
