Great book!
In Frida Kahlo: Painting Her Own Reality, Christina Burrus assesses Frida Kahlo’s extraordinary work—a maelstrom of cruelty, humor, candor, and insolence reflecting the essence of a free, beautiful, courageous woman.I loved this book. It has beautiful illustrations throughout and is otherwise also a very thin book, so it's very quick and easy to get through, and at the same time it's a great way to start reading about FridaIf you feel like you are fascinated by her but don't have time to read a 600 page biography this is a great book for you!Very insightful, intriguing and most importantly, sporting glossy pages. It's definitely worth a buy

Excellent and detailed read of her life from start to finish
Amazing book, after the first few pages I read it from front to cover. I was deeply immersed in reading about the fascinating life of Frida, and her political surroundings which involved figureheads such as Rivera and Trotsky.I had bought this book after enjoying the film. The book includes many extracts from her diary, with images of her work, herself, her family, friends and Rivera's work. A slight letdown to the book is that there are descriptions of works within the commentary of the book however no images to reference the text at times. However this evokes more curiousity in me to buy another book at Frida's work.

Highly Recommend.
Always been intrigued by Frida Kahlo’s paintings but didnt know anything about her life. I found this book such a fascinating read, to think she died at the age i am now is so sad. The book helped me understand her paintings at a much deeper level knowing how her life inspired her art. Definitly worth a read.

Pocket sized but lovely
A really good book and lots of colour examples throughout the book. Need to be aware though that this is a pocket sized book.
